I just read that the author of that book, has another book coming out with the same characters, Imperial Bedrooms. It takes place present day, with the same characters, Clay Julian and Blair.
and it may be made into a movie, as a sequel to Less Than Zero,
guess I have to read it to see, but it seems odd since Julian died in the movie version of Less Than Zero, but I never read the book Less Than Zero, so I don't know if the movie changed that from the book.
I read they are trying to get andrew mccarthy, robert downey, jamie gertz and james spader for the sequel movie if it is going to be done.

but it seems odd since Julian died in the movie version of Less Than Zero, .

Yes, I remember that movie and the Bangles with Hazy Shade of Winter with that movie. Yes, Julian died, so that may be awkard. But I did enjoy the movie.

I don't think Julian died in the book. You know the liberties screenwriters take, sensationalizing things to draw an audience ;)

yep you are right, in the book Julian didn't die. I googled a little more about the book.
wonder how that will play out in the movie, if they do turn this into a movie sequel.

pp, yes I remember that bangles song!

the movie is a sad sad shadow of what the book is...it is so different, it might as well not share the same title...but Brett Easton Ellis is an amazing author...I highly recommend Lunar Park...it's my favorite out of all of his books.

I love the book AND the movie, but I almost forget that the movie is based on the book because, really, it isn't. LOL. But I love them both for different reasons. Makes me sad to think the movie could have a sequel with no RDJ.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I remember that was the first Rated "R" movie I saw in the theatre and I was not 17 yet, but my Best friend's mom let us go see it. I remember the drug use was pretty shocking and it was really a downer of a movie.

The drug use in the book is a LOT more explicit. And so was everything else!
