Does anyone remember TexasWare dishware?

My grandfather used to work for the company that made it. I'm not sure that it is even being made now but it lasts forever. My grandparents gave us a whole lot of it when we were married, dishes, glasses, serving dishes, mixing bowls, etc. Its been 21 years and it looks like they'll last another 21.

I have mine, they are yellow. I have had it for probably close to 20 years. I bought it at Dillards.

I think it's like the stuff that was called "Melamine". Texas Ware had a manufacturing site in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas when I was growing up (the 60s and 70s). Is that where your Grandpa worked?

That was some indestructable stuff!

I don't know about TexasWare, but I have one piece of my mom's Boontonware!

KathyTX, yes, that's where my Grandad worked. All of my stuff are factory seconds but I can't tell it. Something about the color not being quite right. My dishes are multi-colored green, blue and grey. Very pretty!

I have a mixing bowl just like the picture nativetxn posted. They are very hard to find. I found one at a garage sale. I love to use them.

Some of my glasses don't say TexasWare on the bottom, just Texan.

Here's a picture of Boontonware, although I've NEVER seen it in pink! Mom had a mix of colors. I have just one red bowl now. How I wish I had that set!!

My other grandmother had some pieces like that only they were solid dark green and bright orange. When she passed away I was the only one interested in them so I kept them. I just checked to see what they said on the bottom and they said Texas Ware also. Maybe they were made by the same manufacturer.
