I didn't read all the posts but honestly I feel that if it is close to the birthday than there is no problem with saying its a birthday trip. I know there are people who can't just up and run to Disney to celebrate on the actual day of the birthday - I know I for one am one who has to plan my trip around work - I work in Accounts Payable and for years my vacations have been planned around end of month and first of month. In 2004 we went to the MK for my niece's 7th birthday but it wasn't her actual b-day till the day we left - we only went to one park (MK) but we got her a bday pin - I don't recall her getting anything by Pixie Dust for free. For instance we were walking down Main Street and the Dapper Dans pulled her over and sang her happy birthday - she was so excited and happy. The same thing happened in Frontierland with the traveling band that was there. My sister paid for dinner the night before at Chef Mickey's and she got a special dance with Donald. So I wouldn't consider that lying because it was a trip for her bday and we didn't take advantage of the bday - just seeing the Pixie Dust that was shared was enough. Then there is my DH who I took to WDW for his bday - we were actually there on his bday - he wouldn't let me get him a pin and we didn't end up even saying anything to anyone about his bday. A free upgrade would have been nice since we were staying at the Yacht Club but alas I did not ask.
Thank you.
) I actually love to see people celebrate and am not offended that they saved their celebration for disney.
