I know it was sometime in Aug/Sept for free dining in 2005-2006. Does anyone remember the dates? I have some air miles that I need to use up in Aug but are hoping that maybe the times will be the same. I know that they may not offer this this year but I am keeping my fingers crossed!!!!! How great woudl it be for free airfare and free dining????!?!?!? Thanks.

Last year it was for check-in between August 13 and September 30.

We can not participate in free dining because we are DVC and stay on points, however, since we are going Aug. 13-23, just curious if anyone remembers when they usually announce the free dining for Aug. and Sept? I realize some people are already getting free dining because they were there in November(something like that) and booked again for August or Sept. of this year. I am just wondering if they do it again for others when they usually anounce it so we know if we can expect lots of crowds when we go.:scared1: Thanks so much!!:)

OP: for your sake yes, that would be great!:) Good Luck! :)

In 2005, the dates were around the middle of August (I think the 13th??) to October 2nd.

Last year it was announced in April, and in 2005, May.

Last year it was announced the last week of March.

Thanks so much for the quick replies. I guess I am in the minority hoping it does not happen for our sake.;)

There's been quite a few rumors that it won't - a few from people who claim to know people - and a few from people who have talked to CMs who have heard.

Wouldn't surprise me if this years September discount was more along the lines of "free hopping" or "free waterparks" Basically add ons to the MYW passes.

I think it won't happen....Not because I know anyone in the know...I am just guessing really. But If you look at the August park hours they are shorter this yr than last and there are a LOT less spectros and Fantasmic than last yr.
This to me indicated that Disney are not doing a free dining release to the general public...because if they were crowds would be even bigger than last yr..(as more people know about it and wait for it)..Therefore they would keep the longer hours they had last yr.
I think your right about a water park discount or something along those lines..along with the free dining for the UK and free dining bounceback I think that will be it.
Don't forget the hurricane season has been not bad lately so they don't need the big deals as much.
