LadyTramp I think they hope that the Russians will say "We've had enough of this bloodshed. Take this land and make it yours."

Then I think they should wait for all the decent people to leave, sneak out the children, and Nuke them.

I see what you mean but it doesn't often happen, does it? I mean that a government says ok we give, you win? Even France didn't give in to terrorists demanding they change that headress law. That would only make things worse - if any country cowers and gives in - when other terrorists see that it actually worked - it would just increase these kinds of incidents. So I don't see them often getting what they demand and the terrorists often end up dead so . . . maybe it just gives the fanatics the glorious end they so seem to desire. Of course the head fanatics aren't eager to die, they just want to sacrifice their followers. I think many of them are brainwashed from the time they were born. It's just incredibly twisted to me. Hard to understand their mentality.

As I said, the pictures are brutal so don't go there if you don't want to see it. The guy with the US shirt is in the upper part of the article, the pictures of the children are in the bottom part

I'm sorry to say this but I hope they plaster the photos of the slaughtered children all over and say "this is what terrorists do." However I think the terrorists really don't care and will turn this around to say either the Russians are responsible or that this is the cost of their cause.

Not only that... one of the women suspected of bombing one of the planes in Russia last week was the sister of the homocide bomber that blew herself up in front of the subway station! Link

Your philosophy completely makes sense. . .but, unfortunately, history has shown terrorism DOES work. You might want to take a look at Alan Dershowitz' book Why Terrorism Works. It brought up cases of terrorism in recent history (way before 9-11), and how so many governments (Europe especially) caved in to terrorists' demands. Although I disagree with Dershowitz regarding most domestic and social issues, I do agree he is right on when discussing this. BTW, I think they are completely brainwashed/indoctrinated from day one.

It's funny, people keep wanting to draw comparisons to Christianity (and I'm not a Christian), but there is none to draw, imo. Indoctrination of this hate-filled religion that inhibits free-thinking cannot really be compared to raising children in the forgiveness and love that is so apparent in Western religions.
