Does anyone else's dog do this?

I have a Sheltie who is 2 1/2. He is deathly afraid of the camera. Everytime I try to take a picture of him, he runs away in terror. If I manage to catch him he won't look at the camera. Turns his head away and looks at the ground. I'm not sure if he's afraid of the flash or what is causing this fear. I joke with my family he is afraid it will steal his soul. :teeth: I had his picture professionally taken when he was 3 months old. Maybe that traumatized him? :confused3

Mine pose for the camera. I mean they actually stop what they are doing and sit still and smile. Crazy dogs.

But they bark at the microwave, so there's that.

Ooh, my dog Penny does that. I don't know that she's scared so much as annoyed.

Amelia though, will tilt her head and give her best "Who me?" look.

My dogs love the camera too - they pose.

He was probably scared by the flash.

I have shelties and I think it's partly because they are herding dogs...they stare down as a form of control and imtimidation and they HATE to be stared at. Maybe they think that camera is a big ol' eye! :dog:

My cat won't open his eyes for the camera. Observe:

I have pics of my kitty, but no open eyed ones. I'm beginning to think my cat DOESN'T have eyes!!

My dog is ok with the camera but is deathly afraid of the 3 hole punch. Must be the sound. :pug: :paw:

Nope, my Schnauzer loves the camera. We swear she poses for us. But plug in the toaster and she's off hiding somewhere. :rotfl:

George loves the camera. If he hears the ding as it is turned on, he goes nuts jumping around so we will take his picture. He pushes the other animals and the girls out of the way so he can be the center of picture attention.

Ours loves the camera, so much so that he usually comes running towards me when I turn it on. Most pictures are of his back, since he is jumping up to get a close look at the camera. But, he's still young so he will hopefully outgrow that. Besides, if he's gonna live in this house he needs to get used to LOTS of pictures :rotfl: There's a reason my family calls me the "camera lady".

It's funny because the camera is the only thing he's afraid of. He attacks anything that makes noise, like the vacuum cleaner or lawn mower. I have so few pictures of him cuz he just won't cooperate.

Snowy loves the camera. Whenever we take out the camera, she poses and almost demands to have her picture taken.

Our golden loves the camera. Whenever we try to get a picture of DS or DW, there is a dog just wanting in the shot. We usually have to take a few pictures of him just to appease him so we can actually get what we wanted to begin with.

Our yorkie is ok with the camera, but she is skittish around leaves. She is also afraid of butterflies. :dog2: She sure is cute, but boy is she crazy! :sunny:

Bailey isn't really afraid of the camera but she refuses to cooperate when I try to take her picture! I have been trying to get a cute picture of her for my signature, but she turns her head, won't sit still, or buries herself under her blanket. Or, I'll have her in a cute pose and about the time I snap the picture she will run up and put her nose on the camera. If I do manage to get a picture, she looks really annoyed in it!
