I know it's probably not a good idea to do, but I weigh myself every morning. I figure this way if I haven't lost, (or even gained), I know to be extra good that day.
On the other hand if I have lost, that gives me more incentive to be good!!:) :D :)

I don't. In fact, I only weigh myself once a month at the Curves place I go to.
I figure I don't want to get depressed. Maybe waiting a month will improve my chances of actually losing something.

I actually may have lost some. My pants fit a little looser.

Good luck on your weight loss!

I weigh every day, but I never thought I'd admit that here.

I have found in the past that I gain a lot of weight when I'm not weighing myself regularly. Weighing every day gives me incentive to be good every day. And if I do gain, I know enough to realize that it is probably water weight (if I've been good) or that I need to do better.

This is the only way that I guarantee that I can stay focused and on track!

I have found that I "know" in my head if I will show a loss, and if I need the mental boost, I will weigh daily.

;)

My weight can vary by up to a few lbs a day so yes, I do weigh every morning...and sometimes even throughout the day(I have no idea why though). Usually I know exactly what the scale is going to say.

Me, too! Same reasons - I find that I don't weigh when I'm trying to avoid truth - i.e. when I'm gaining. Weighing each day for me is a discipline that I associate with weight loss. I don't get upset at what I see and am really only interested in the change from week to week. But it's something I do pretty much every day.

I weigh myself once a week. I'm thinking of changing to once per month.

I'm one of those "older" women. Ideopathic edema wreaks havoc with my weight. Up and down, up and down. It's too depressing to weigh myself everyday.

(Bloat fairy, I know that you are reading this and laughing :p --I don't know why you have to be so darn good at your job  )

I used to, but I drove myself NUTS!!! My official WI day is Friday and I have a sneak day on Monday to see how much I rocked the boat over the weekend! ;)

These two weigh ins help me stay sane. Any more frequent and I'd be a basket case! ;)

NO WAY!!!! Once a week at Weight Watchers is enough for me. If I go down, I'd start to slack off thinking, "Hey I'm down!!!"

I try not to focus on the number and instead focus EVERY day on working the plan. I figure if I work the plan the right way, the number is certain to go down eventually!

I used to do this on my previous weight loss attempt, but I realize that I was becoming obsesive, and it wasn't giving me a lot of realistic information. I am also one of those people who tend to vary, depending on the time of the month or sometimes even the time of day. At our health club, they put a very strong emphasis on building muscle so you will burn more calories, and of course the muscle weighs more than fat. So their emphasis lies more on other ways to tell how you are doing, like feeling your clothes getting looser. I am going to try to stick to that attitude and weigh in once a week or less. I am also going to stick with one scale, as there is variance between home and the health club scales.

I do......same reason. I know if I need to work harder.
Being down doesn't cause me to slack off......just to be glad and still try harder.
But I only "count" the offical weigh in on Saturdays.....and that's the one I write down.

I used to, but it became discouraging, so I stopped! I only weigh myself on Tuesdays now and I am much happier with what I see!! :):)

I have been trying VERY, VERY hard to break myself of the every day weighing problem, but I have yet to cure myself. I sometimes manage to make the every other day weigh in, but it is tough. I learned an important lesson last week about that, but I still haven't broken the habit. Maybe some day I will succeed.

During past weight loss adventures I did weigh myself every day. I have learned that that approach for me is not wise. I got way too obsessed with that scale and the numbers that it told me I was. Sometimes, I even would weigh myself in the morning and again in the evening! Anyway, not this time around. I am weighing once a week, and only once a week. This new approach has helped in so many ways! I now focus more on how my body feels, and how my clothes fit. It is so much more motivating to step on the scale and know I am going to see a drop, than the up and down the scale did when I was weighing daily.

I weigh every AM, but only count my Monday weight. Since I have no water retention problems, and no "monthly" fluctuations, the only obvious reason for a gain is either too much (or too little...or the "wrong") food or a muscle gain. If in my heart of hearts I know it's the former, I restart METICULOUS weighing, measuring, and journaling; if I think it's the latter, I wait until early evening (when I'm well hydrated) and check my fat %. Usually, it has dropped a point.

I am another who seems to gain 5 pounds by just LOOKING at a dessert, so my weight can get out of hand in a heartbeat! I didn't do well in the past because I DIDN'T weigh myself frequently enough!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this! It does get to be depressing to me sometimes so I think I should try to just weigh once a week. I'm trying to not be so focused on what the scales say but it's a hard habit to break.

because of this! I have a scale at work, and if I can remember, I weigh in...I now weigh in on Thursdays....I like to have a good weekend when I see the pounds go DOWN!;)

Mine was just Fixed the day before, I saw the Guy Balance it!;)
