I'm thinking it can't be just my computers?
We leave the computers on all the time, have a second with netgear.
I can go on the DIS and navigate all around the forums(my homepage), but if I try to go "out there" to do some banking or any other site. I get
"The page cannot be displayed". Sometimes I have to unplug the whole system from the wall then start up the computers again and most of the time it's fine. Very much a pain and it's happening more and more lately.
I thought maybe someone here may have the same problem or maybe a solution!

I have comcast and I sometimes have this problem too. Most of the time, I notice it when I have left the computers on and been away for awhile. When I come back, I can't pull up anything. I have to disconnect all my power sources before I can pull up anything. I thought it was just my computer. Maybe not.

Me too! I find comcast annoying. I thinking of going back to dsl....it seemed to work much better than cable!

I've only ever noticed this when Comcast was having problems, but never had to disconnect anything.

I just received a post card in the mail from Comcast, offering me 2 months free than the next 10 months, their internet service would be $24.99 a month. It sounded like a good deal, but seeing how I have been hearing quite a few people have had problems with it, I think I'll stick with my dsl!!

used to have the problem all the time but not anymore. We can't get DSL here so comcast is our only high speed option at the moment:( . Really wish we could get DSL...it was a lot less expensive.

It's not that I have the problem all the time, it seems to only be in waves. Sometimes I can go months without ever having to disconnect anything. All of a sudden I'm having problems again.
We did have 2 high definition T.V.'s hooked up recently so maybe that has something to do with it.

No problems here that I can really complain about. Just like any other internet server Comcast is usually on the mark but every so often they fall off the band wagon and it isn't %100 :D

I just don't get it, why it can be working fine then all of a sudden I have to uplug the power source (cable line plug) and the Netgear. I don't have to actually restart the computers.
They don't seem to know at Comcast Customer Service:confused:

I used to have this problem, but only when I turned it on in the morning. I'd unplug it for a minute and everything would be fine. The tech guy at Comcast said sometimes the link between the computer and the cable would be screwed up and when you unplug it the computer would 'find' the link.

Once in awhile the modem may need to reinitialize itself. Not often, just every so often. Just one of those many 'mysteries' of life, LOL. :)

We get this occasionally. I'm able to fix it by unplugging the power to the modem, which causes it to "reboot" itself and then its fine.
