I always see threads about people getting reservation agents on the line who don't know about the plans/packages, or who are less than forthcoming with extra info. I however always seem to get through to a wonderful reservation agent at WDW, and this time was no different. I just called in and was told me est. wait time was 4 min, ( but I think it was less than that) and then on came Beatrice (I do believe that is her name...forgive me I am excited about my trip!). She was wonderful, very knowledgable and answered each of my questions. We were booking the FL resident free dining package, and she knew exactly what I was talking about. She mentioned that this deal was a great one and very popular (so if you guys are planning on making reservations, don't wait too long). She joked with me about my choice in resort (Pop, my first time value...but this deal was such a good choice by choosing the value resort) and told me what she likes about it, and what I might find nice. She asked me if I wanted her to request a king bed in the room (I was under the impression that the King bed rooms came at an addition cost like the preferred area, but she said no they are the same as the double standard rooms in cost) so I have my room preferences list- crossing fingers for king bed, non-smoking, in '50s section! She was so nice and we were chatting that we got to the end and I asked if I was to get a confirmation # and she was embarassed that she had forgotten to give it to me. I told her that "it was ok, she was just SO EXCITED about MY vacation!!!"
I work with the public and know how nice it is to be recognized for my efforts, so I plan to send a little note Disney's way just saying how much I liked Beatrice. She was only doing her job, but she was so "honestly" nice and cheerful about it, that it made my calling for the reservation just that much smoother and pleasant.
Does any one else have any nice reservation experences to share?
