Does anyone do Easter Egg Hunts on Easter Morning?

Yes, we do a egg hunt and baskets -- usually in the afternoon, after church.

We have Easter baskets and two hunts - one inside and one outside. When I was a kid, the Easter bunny hid out baskets, too.

Growing up we did a chocolate easter egg hunt as soon as we woke up. We each also had an easter basket waiting on the dining room table. I do the same exact thing for my kids and will continue until they move out. It's fun and we can all stand as much fun in our lives as possible.

We always give baskets and do an egg hunt. I have over 100 plastic eggs that I hide in the backyard. I put small candies in some, money in some, and toys in some. Last year I didn't put toys in as I totally forgot, and DD said the Easter bunny forgot the toys! They are only cheap little toys but she loves getting them. Now that you reminded me, I have to go look for toys this week!

My dd and ds are 17 & 18 we still do the Easter hunt and Easter baskets. But then again on Valentines I still buy them a card and chocolate, for Christmas they still get the Advent calender. My kids love it, and my dh and I love doing it. Last Easter my ds hid the eggs in the yard and dh, dd, and myself had to find them. We have fun with it as a family, and as my dd always tells us, we will continue this when she has a family and so on...my dh believes I created a holiday junkie :rotfl2:

We do a kind of scavenger hunt for Easter. The bunny leaves an egg by the oldest's bed(he is the last one to get up so that is why it starts there) and inside the egg is a clue -like Roses are Red Violets are blue boy oh boy someone has a stinky shoe.....then the next egg is in someon's shoe - usually send them all over the house- going up and down stairs is good too= one up one down then back up then back down...Then they find the baskets filled with mostly toys- and one candy treat.
Oh but this year we'll be at Disney so Sarah has been kind enough to take over the basket making for me this year!!:cool1:

The bunny leaves a scavenger hunt at our house too. We should exchange clues,I need some new ones. It has become my kids fav holiday because of the hunt.

Happy Easter, morning has come,
Wake up your sibling, time for some fun.
The first egg is hidden, somewhere near,
Look under a big kitty that Montana loves dear.

Now go to the small bathroom, time to pee.
There you will find another egg from me.

Check on Daddy, see if he’s asleep.
In his sock drawer, take a peek.

As well the kids leave an empty easter basket outside their bedroom door and in the morning it is on the kitchen table with chocolates and small presents. Often there is something like a remote control unit and DS has to go all over the house moving the switches until he finds the car or tigger on a skateboard. Or DD will find the end of a ball of yarn in hers and she will have to follow the trail winding it up as she goes until she finds the playful stuffed Marie Kitty that made the mess.

Growing up we always had baskets filled with eggs that we'd colored and candy.

We never did egg hunts.

I do baskets for the boys but I don't do egg hunts. They just come downstairs on Easter morning and see their baskets waiting for them.

Both baskets and egg hunts. Last Easter DS17 and DS15 (then) hunted eggs with all the cousins (one who was 20!) and love doing it every year.

My kids have had the same Easter baskets since they were born. They put the empty baskets on the counter at night and in the morning the Easter bunny has filled them while they slept. They usually get a movie or a car toy in them, something small. I think one year I put bubbles in them, nothing real expensive and not too much. Then they empty the baskets and go outside for the Easter egg hunt. In those we put candy in the eggs and sometimes money (quarters). So, I guess we do both. :thumbsup2

We hide plastic eggs - some with candy, some with change and 2 or 3 with dollar bills.

We also hide the kid's baskets - they'll have a little candy, a shirt or something and a couple of small toys. Got a great Tink sparkly denim jacket for baby girl this year!
