Does anyone always stay at the same resort?

Any DVC members who always stay at the same resort? I'm talking members who've been more than, say, 5-6 times. Do you ever think about trying someplace else? DH has only stayed at 2, loved the second one (let's not get into "My resort is better than yours...", please) and doesn't ever, ever have any desire to try out any other. I think he should have a second choice, maybe change every once in a while, but he's adamant-"Why mess with what you love" is his philosophy. Anyone else like that?

Last August, for the first time in 8 trips, it was just DH and myself... no kids! We'd never stayed anywhere but OKW. We thought we might stay at Grand Floridian or BC, YC, Poly! I did a lot of research, tried to find good rates (not what I'm used to due to DVC though!)...

THEN we started looking at the other DVC properties. Quiet pools, fancy pools, great views, dumpster views <grin> ... they all had much to offer and only a very few negatives.

You know why we stayed at OKW after all? Since we didn't have to rent a minivan we got a Mitsubishi Spyder convertable. Hee hee - that car turned out to be a bigger attraction to me than MK!! We decided OKW was the best for easy Spyder access.

I would still like to stay at the GF or YC someday though.

Since joining in 1992 we've only stayed at OKW. One of these days, though, I think I'd like to try VWL.

Although we have only been DVC members for three visits, we currently have three more booked.
Out of those 6 visits, we will have stayed at VWL all 6 times, VB 5 out of 6 (would be 6 of 6, but one visit will be only three nights), and a few nights at the Poly and AKL.
I'm not sure about another 10 years into the future, but for now I don't see going to WDW without staying at VWL.

Maistre Gracey, I know why... I think the Lodge has a magic all its own. We stay at OKW the most, because it's accessible for my parents. But when we go back this summer -- when it's too hot for them - -I'm going to the Lodge!

We've only been three times since joining. First trip was to VB, second was to BWV, third was to VWL. Fourth will be to BCV in May.

Looking forward to staying at HH, SSR and OKW.

OKW for us only. We stayed off site last summer on a friend's timeshare but we also stayed on site at OKW at OKW on ours on the same trip. We visited VB for a weekend and liked that stay. So, I guess for onsite stays, OKW solely.

We bought at the BCV because of the location. We've been there several times and don't plan to stay anywhere else when we visit WDW.

My goal is to stay at each and every DVC Resort. So far, I have made them all except for VB. I have spent only 1 night at HH, so I think I need to re-visit that one also. I think each resort has pros and cons and I have enjoyed each for different reasons, but OKW is my favorite when staying in a 1-bedroom or larger. OKW studios are my favorite when there are 3 of us, to have both beds and BCV when just hubby and me to have extra floor space cause we don't need the sleeper sofa.

I've been 4 times since joining a year ago and have always stayed in my home resort BCV. Have 4 trips planned and booked for 2004 again all at BCV. I have visited all the Resorts at WDW but not Vero or HH. I'm sure someday I'll stay at another resort, but for now we all think BCV is the Premier location, so until I get sick of staying there (fat chance)that's where I'll continue to stay. They tell us to buy where you think you will want to be the most, that's what I did.

DW, DS, various others and I have stayed at HH, VB, and OKW, but stay at our home resort, BWV, most often. (Can't beat the location and cheap points for Standard View!) We are booked to stay at VWL in June, so we only have BCV and SS left to experience. It's fun to try new things and compare as well. Live a little you stay in one place people. You'll never know what you're missing unless you try.

I stay in many different WDW resorts both DVC and non DVC, on a very regular basis. I love staying in different WDW resorts since each has it's own unique location, personality, atmosphere and theming.
Of course I do have my favorites from each category of WDW resorts and I do tend to stay at these resorts more often. I pick WDW resorts first by location & convenience then by amenities and then by theming. When I am traveling for business then cost is also a big consideration and is thrown into the mixture when I am making my resort choice.
My DVC home at BWV is my favorite DVC resort, which is why I bought there; with BCV a close second for us.
We have yet to stay at an off site DVC resort but do look forward to a trip to HH soon. We will also be taking our first Disney cruise in Oct, so yes we enjoy all types of Disney accomendations!

BoardWalk our home resort. Have thought about going to HH or VB but still haven't gotten around to doing it. Do not want to stay elsewhere on WDW. We highly prefer the Epcot area to any other. We stayed at OKW and WL (long before VWL) before buying at BWV and they are very nice resorts but not where we like to be. Also, we are particular about having hotel amenities and being able to hit restaurants, bars, and entertainment right in the same hotel, which you have with BWV but only have peripherally with BCV.

Not us. We have stayed at BWV, VWL & BCV. BWV is our favorite, with BCV as our second. Can't get my DH to try OKW, he doesn't care for the resort. But I swear one day we will stay there. LOL

On another note, I also want to try at least one night in every resort - We have stayed at GF, Poly, Cont, Dixie Landings, Caribbean, we spent one night at ASSports. Hopefully will try Pop Century for one night this summer.

Since joining DVC in 1998, we have stayed once at BW and once at BCV. The rest of the trips( 12 or so) at OKW. We prefer OKW for our trips for many reasons. In 7 days will be at OKW for 5 nights in a 2 BR.

We seem to have stayed at OKW (our home resort) and BCV the most. We have done BWV a couple of times, and did all of the moderates, AKL, BC, Swan before we were DVCers.

We have always stayed at OKW since joining in 91! We have even purchased at the BCV, but have yet to stay there! One of these days we will try it, OKW is just our cup of tea!

Before joining DVC we stayed 3 times at the BC and loved it. That is why we didn't have any choice but to buy at BCV when they opened. Since joining we have stayed at BCV 3 times and at BWV once, but that was only because BCV wasn't available at the time we booked our reservation. (We had already stayed at BWI pre-DVC and knew we didn't like it as well as BC.) We have 3 trips planned for 2004 and they are all at BCV. We might change our December trip to WLV if a studio is still available at 7 months. If not, it will be BCV all the way and thrilled to be there!!!!
