My MIL is looking for a big gift to get my son either for x-mas or his 2nd birthday. I love the look of these, and like that you can use a pushbar at first with certain models. Does anybody have one? How do you like it? Any particular model you like?

TIA!

I got my son a kettler trike while we were living in Germany. I don't know what the model is. It has a seat with a little bit of a back on it. It is red, green, yellow and blue in color and metal framed. I bought it at a German store in downtown Wuerzburg.

We have a Kettler trike. It is several years old and most like the Junior Tricycle model. It has the handle on the back for pushing. The kids and us love it. In fact, our neighbors liked it so much, they bought 3 Kettler trikes for their triplets.

We had them for our kids and LOVED them. They also had other trikes and these were much smoother.

They also make a cheaper model that they sell at Toys'rus that i think is called the super trike. It is made by Kettler also. It was just as good as the Kettler we had, but it didn't have the push bar. We didn't use the push bar for more than about 4 times, cuz they had the peddling down by then.

Good choice!

I bought one for my DS with the push bar. Great trike, loved the push bar and when he didn't need it you can remove it. The seat also adjusted. Gave it to a friend of mine for her granddaughter and it is now being used with her second granddaughter. Almost 10 years of use, great trike.

We have one without the push handle. It does have a basket type thing in the back that tips over (like a dump truck). She loves it and they're great for kids who are small for their age since the seat adjusts a great deal. Also since the back wheels are widely spaced and it's low to the ground it's nearly impossible to tip over. DD had a hand-me-down trike would tip over quite frequently. Needless to say after a few rides on that we got the Kettler.
