We are staying 10 nights at AKL in November. My 18 month old son will not sleep in a pack-n-play. We went out of town two weekends ago and finally at 12:30am DH drove him around in the car to get him to go to sleep! We travel alot in the summer for DHs work and he wouldnt sleep in one this summer either. He sleeps really good at home in his crib, I have no problem with him at bedtime. I thought maybe if I set our pack-n-play up in his room at home he might get comfortable with it. I have tried it all week and it is not working. He plays in it for an hour before I come in put him in the crib and within 5 minutes he's asleep. So after rambling on and on my real question is can I get a real crib at AKL? Thanks for any help!!

We didn't need one but I noticed that in our bunk bed room at AKL in Jan. that they had pak n play in closet. Don't know if you can get a real one though.

The cribs are pak n plays....would he sleep in a real bed...maybe the day bed if you get a room with one of those in...they are small like a crib..just no sides.

Disney resorts no longer provide real cribs due to safety issues. My DS does not like the PnP either. We will put one bed against the wall, my DH will sleep on his other side, and we'll use a bedrail on the end of the bed to make sure he's secure. All resorts have bedrails--call and "reserve" one. Your reservation will then reflect guaranteed bedrails.

I have the same problem with my 18 month old, and he sleeps in bed with bed rails when we're on vacation. Sometimes, he has to sleep with DH, but he'll fall asleep VERY quickly and will sleep without incident this way. Try to put him in a pack-n-play and forget it, I'll be up all night!!! I'd suggest getting a room with bunk beds if you can, and putting your child down in the lower bunk with the bed rails, ask for two sets, so you can secure the whole bed. I'm sure he's be much more comfortable in that, than in a pack-n-play. Also, if he's anything like my son, he's starting to get a little too big for a pcak-n-play anyway. Also, just an ote, if you can get a "real" crib, they are no larger than a pack-n-play, just raised off the floor, with wooden rails, really not much of an improvement.
