Does a 3 year old really need a ticket?

The child doesnt have a ticket so there is nothing to be bound to. The child has been let in for free.

Whether disney choose to get @rsey and revoke the AP's if the find out is up to them, however there would be absolutely zero chance of any prosecution if the CM failed to ask the age of a child and waved them in on the assumption they were the correct age. That is the fault of the staff. We arent talking about the parents throwing the kids over the fence here to get them in.

If a 20 year old goes into a bar pretending to be 21 and is sold a drink, even though the employee sold it to them (and could be arrested), the 20 year old is still breaking the law and can still be arrested. Now do I think WDW would prosecute the family? Of course not! But the staff don't know how old someone is by looking at them. If the parents knowingly pass their child off as younger than they are, the parents are not being truthful and are knowingly stealing admission.

So then by your own definition you lack any morals and values. If its ok to say that to the OP and anyone who has supported them then you are no different. Both cases involve being economical with the truth.

How in the world do you come to that conclusion??? I never mentioned morals or values. Talk about reaching for something to attack on.I had a professor that once told me that once an opponetstoops to personal attack they have no valid arguments left. I think you have reached that point. I will no longer be responding to personal jabs. If you have a valid point, by all means share it.

No one is perfect and everyone has done things they are not proud of. I am brave enough to stand up an say that yes I have done things that are wrong. In my OP I said that a lie is a lie no matter the circumstances, and that I didn't think I could live with the consequences of this particular lie, and that was the question that the OP would have to answer for herself.

Shouting the same thing over and over isn't helping. Look up the legal statutes in Florida regarding theft of services, and look at the precedent cases if you don't believe me. .

I full well understand the theft of services you refer to. If someone does a bunk from a resteraunt etc and all the other examples that you give then yes.

However when a Disney employee lets you into a Disney park through their own mistake / lack of checking then you quite simply can not be prosecuted. By definition they have offered their service for free because they have ok'd it.

The question has been answered...also, never heard of a CM ask for a birth certificate???? really? please...
FYI..personal attacks are not allowed in threads, it will surely shut a thread down.....

Nothing personal in it. You appear to be able to lecture others but dont like it back.

Here

You can justify what you are doing with any reason under the sun, but it really boils down to this: no matter what you say about it or how you justify it you in fact ARE stealing. I am personally not ok with stealing from anyone, and even less so with having my child participate in stealing. Stealing eventually trickles down to hurt everyone else who wants to enjoy the parks. I am not ok with doing that to someone else. The fundamental question you need to ask youself before doing this: Is the money I am saving worth knowing that I am stealing and causing others to pay higher prices, and teaching my children that it is ok to do so? I personally cannot live with that.

You question mention how you wouldnt do x, y and z. In reality the person we are talking about has failed to declare something. so at worst they ahve lied, arguably not at all if they werent asjked the question. So they have done something that you yourself have also done yet you feel ok to have a swipe at them as per the post above. Double standards.

If its ok for you to lie then its ok for them to. If its not ok for you to lie but you have done it, fine, but dont lecture others for doing the same.

But its ok to wade in and call someone a thief and that they lack morality, ethics and values but when some is dished back its not ok?

Neither are questions about breaking Disney's rules; however, this one has been going on for 8 pages!

AHHHH, ya beat me to it!

I dont really expect to get anywhere here to be honest. At the end of the day, when Im talking to a nation of people who cant see the irony in giving thanks to a population of people that you butchered (I'd have thought adequate thanks for their generosity would have been achieved by not subjecting them to mass genocide ) then I dont expect you to realised the hypocrisy here either.

Well if nothing else, that should be the end of this thread. We can only hope.

Just in case it was missed the first time:

who me?

No disregard at all. Im just not a drama queen.

It is crazy how upset people are getting about this. If the OP were to take her family to guest services and explain the situation, from my experience they will say not to buy the 3 year old a ticket and to wait and buy season passes together as a family. Disney does understand the value in having a whole family buy season passes, and they also understand wanting all the dates to be the same.

The OP situation is not the same as a family just not wanting to buy tickets - they have annual passes and are planning on getting annual passses for their 3 year old - this is totally different then a family going for their once or twice in a lifetime trip and not wanting to buy a ticket for their 3 year old - IMO and apparently in Disney's as that is what has happened to 3 other families I've spoken to and to another person in this thread.

Disney policy states that children ages 3-9 years old must have a Child's ticket. The DIS is not the place to discuss bypassing Disney's rules, so this thread is now closed.
