Documents in hand -- am I in an 11 or a 9?

I'm confused. We booked a 11 GTY room through AAA, and we received our cruise documents today (very excited!). Our documents say the following:

Stateroom: 2012
Category: 11
Deck: 2

The deck plans I've seen say that 2012 is a category 9 stateroom -- it's very far forward and it's definately on the "outside" of the ship. Why then do my documents say category 11? Is this a mistake, or do the documents list what I paid for regardless of the room I'm assigned?

mine says the same thing. we booked cat. 11 and were upgraded to a cat. 9 on deck 2....Looks like you got yourself an upgrade.

Cabin #2012 in brochure says it's a cat. 9.
Sounds like you're the lucky one to be upgraded!!

According to the deck plan in passporter, rm 2012 is definitely an OUTSIDE starboard side forward cabin, thus making it a Cat 9

Cat 11 GTY, means that you will get either a Cat 11 cabin or higher, you were upgraded to a Cat 9, enjoy your oceanview cabin!!!!!

I thought we'd been upgraded, but I was confused by the category 11 on my documents. I guess that means what I paid for.

When we were upgraded this past August from a cat 9 to a cat 5 our docs still said cat 9, it threw me off at first also!!!

You have our stateroom! We had the same situation in July. We booked a cat. 11, but when we got our docs, we were assigned stateroom 2012. We absolutely loved it!

BTW, I mis-typed earlier.

2012 is a PORT side (left, facing forward for you land lubbers) cabin.
