Doctor questions

I am going to accompany a friend to her first appointment after finding out she has breast cancer. They've already told her that they will remove the lump (thankfully one small lump) and do radiation.

I'm looking for a list of questions to bring along to ask the doctor. We already know it is the right doctor so we don't need to question his background etc. More 'what to expect' questions.

Hi,
What a good friend you are to be supporting someone during this scary time.

If you go to the community board and do a search for 'breast cancer' you will find the DIS breast cancer survivor thread which is very active.
I am sure some of the lovely people over there would be able to help with specific questions. It is a great idea to go armed with a written list.

I think the PP gave you the best advice. That seems like a great thread, sadly they have a lot of experience, but the situations do call for it.

What a fantastic friend you are. I hope it goes as smoothly and is as simple as possible for your friend.
