I would even rather have an appointment with my OB-GYN than my dentist. And they are both men! :p

I'd go to the doctor any day over the dentist.

i really hate the ocular plastics surgical suite,, the drs are great,, but i hate that trip to the basement:) after 13 trips to or in 8 months,, thats expectable thoug huh:)

I would rather eat a bowl of spiders than go to the dentist......

I have never had a problem with my teeth. Last year I went in for a checkup and told my dentist that I was feeling the slightest bit of pain in a tooth. She found a "very shallow" cavity (only my second ever!) and made an appointment to have it filled.

Well, let me just tell you what she did to me!!! When she injected the novicaine (sp?), she hit a nerve and caused LOCKJAW!!! Then, she had me keep my mouth open for so long that I now have TMJ. I also still had pain in my tooth 9 months later and had to have a crown put on. Well, here it is over a year later, and I am now facing a root canal because it is STILL hurting! UGH! I hate the dentist now! Although I have found a new dentist!

I have never minded the dentist. I have had virtually everything possible done, so there is no "unknown" for me. I am extremely relaxed in the chair. In fact, I have always worried about falling asleep.and in fact, once did.

Another reason I always liked the dentist chair, it was one place where no one could ask me to go and do anything. The dentist chair and an airplane seat. Yep

Well, I've dated both a doctor and dentist. The doctor has better bedside manners and dentist was much better with his hands. It's a tough choice, but I'll go with the doctor. Bedside manners are important. :D

I prefer the dentist. But then, the doctor pokes me too much (OB-GYN and Internist - enough said) and my dentist was very nice, even when removing my wisdom teeth. And I've never hada tooth problem - not even a cavity - other than the wisdom tooth removal.

My feelings are hurt! Not all us dentists are ogres. Some of my patients actually like seeing me. Seriously, you need to find one you're comfortable with, one who is willing to listen to you.

Dr. Maria

they each have there good points, there is allways sexy dental assitiants, and the lady who does your blood pressure is allways hot

Oh definately the dentist!! Something about having needles anywhere near my mouth!:scared:
Needles at the doctors though never bother me.

The dentist is definitely worst, they always make my gums bleed.

I see my dentist more than my dr. I have to be about dead or be tired of being nagged before I go to the dr.;)

Dentist for sure! I haven't even had dental work done since I was 17 when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, thankfully my teeth have been in perfect shape since then! But, I have all those memories of getting cavities filled as a child.... Not fun!!

I dread the doctor. I love my dentist!
