My whole thing is like, piercings can close up...it costs so much money to get a PERMANENT tattoo removed? So I personally don't see the big deal. But my parents do
That's seriously so true!
It stinks for some people because they truly end up regretting the tattoos they get.

Old lady ringing in here!!
I have a 16 yo son. No tatts--yet, and a single ear pierced. I am not totally against tatts, but I think you have to be careful what you get put on in permanent ink. I told my son if we let him get a tattoo at age 3 he'd be forever struggling to hides a big ole Barney on his forearm from the guys in the football locker room. So, what's to say the tatt you get today won't be an embarrassment 10-15 years down the road?
I have a client--about 22 years old. When he was 15 he got a revolver inked onto his inner forearm. Figured he'd be a Gangsta' 4 life. Now, he's in college--engineering program and goes to great lengths to hide that tatt. I never see him in anything but long sleeved shirts anymore.
That being said, I am toying with the idea of a celtic cross on my anke. But, not until my son turns 18!![]()
