Do your dogs watch TV?

I was on the computer with the TV on, nearby. Wipeout was on. Gracie started watching it and really got into it. She was jumping all around & barking at the contestants! Dudley couldn't have cared less.

It was so funny I grabbed the video camera. What was amazing was when the commercials came on, she walked away but came right back when her show came back on! :rotfl:

No dogs, but my cat will sometimes sit and watch TV. :)

Our Bouvier doesn't but our Fox Terrier does. It took us a year to break him of the habit of running at the tv and jumping at it, usually turning it off in the process, whenever he saw a dog on the screen. He likes to watch hockey and F1 and anything with animals. But he does it less now than when he was younger.

The cats have no interest in the TV, but the baby goat watches TV when I bring her inside to give her a bottle. I kid you not.

We have had 3 dogs over the course of our marriage and none of them has ever shown the slightest interest on any visual or sound coming from the TV.

My catg used to watch Basketball Wives with me until I told DH. Then she stopped, I guess she was embarrassed. :rotfl:

My dog adores westerns and anything with animals.

Our GSD does sometimes if we are watching Animal Planet or if a dog does a big bark on tv.

No..my current dog (English pointer) has zero interest in the TV and doesn't even notice it. Previous dog (lab) didn't either. I have never had a dog that was interested in the TV beyond barking at the occasional siren or doorbell that caught their ear.

My dog barks at other dogs on the tv!:lmao:

Yup, that's what I was going to say too. He doesn't watch it, but if a dog barks on TV he goes off. Which is a real drag if I happen to be watching a movie late at night while the kids are all asleep. :headache: He's a big dog with a big manly bark.

My dog (Border Collie / Lab mix) is another one that is only interested if there are other dogs on TV. Otherwise he ignores it.

the only time our Yorkie notices the TV is when a doorbell rings he will run to the door and bark. What is really funny about this is that we have never had a doorbell so how does he know to go to the door to bark! We assume since he was a pound puppy, at some point in his life, someone had a doorbell.

Our hyper dog does. It's funny to watch him watching the tv because he gets so still and his ears twitch. Sometimes he will **** his head too if the action is very subtle or low-volume.

Our old dog (RIP) didn't watch tv but she hated Law & Order (the original show). Something about the theme music bothered her and she would sit down and just howl when it came on.

Our dog loves tv - loudly. It drives us nuts. We have french doors to the family room so we'll shut her on the other side and that's almost worse. She can't even see the tv, but she sees us watching and carries on because she wants in to watch with us.
