Honestly, I have never seen anything like this before and I have had dogs all my life. It happens daily and goes a little something like this:

I give a treat to both dogs. Toby (signature) will take it and go lay down with it. William will eat his right away. Toby will intentionally wait until William is done and William comes over to him before he starts to eat it. He will do it really slooooooow too. If William is not near him when he's done, Toby will bring the food over right next to him, waiving it in his face (seriously) so William knows he has it and will then eat it. He's soooooo bad and such an instigator :lmao: .

Does anyone else have to deal with this :confused3

Yep...

When I give my dogs treats, Sally will go and "bury" hers then come back and try to steal Buddy and Daisy's.

Buddy gets her back though. She'll be snoozin' on the ottoman and he'll walk by and kinda "touch" her with his paw. She gets all growly and upset. I imagine they are like little kids.."MOM! He's TOUCHING me!!!":sad2: :rotfl:

The little one is a total tease! I'll give them a treat (often pig ears) and the big one will go at her ear. The little one will hide hers behind the couch or chair and then lie down on the floor and do a slow belly crawl towards the big one.

The big one gets all snarly and growly and I honestly think the little one thinks it's funny! She'll pause when the big one growls and then crawl closer and closer. The big one gets more and more snarly. When the little one gets within reach, she'll jump up and start prancing around yipping.

They really entertain me.

When our big dumb guy has a bone and the smart little girl does not she will go to the back window and bark like a bunny is in the yard. This distracts the big guy and he runs to see. She prances back and takes the bone....

But I was glad to see that it only worked a few times before he started taking the bone with. He does learn somewhat...

With my two. Hershey will bring a toy over to Minnie drop it in front of her. Minnie will drop whatever she has and Hershey will snatch it up wagging his tail. Also if its raining out Hershey will start out like he is going to go running outside but Minnie will run out first and then Hershey will turn around and go lay down on his dog bed. He actually looks like he is laughing at her.

Paris will get a toy and then practically lay on top of Andy and chew on it. He will cry and cry (sounds like a little girl) and she just stares at him and slowly moves her jaw up and down on the toy. When Andy finally gets tired of it and comes and sits on my lap to sulk, she just trots away and leaves the toy.

She also likes to try to take his spot in the bed at night which upsets him worse than anything. I got two dogs instead of one so that they would keep each other company when we couldn't be with them but I don't think they like each other all that much!!!

Even worse, my cat teases my dog! :lmao:

The cat will jump on the table and swings his tail, making teh dog interested. Right when the dog goes for it the cat lifts it. It is too funny to watch because the cat will prance away and grin.

Hahahaa! Mine do something similar. I sleep on my side with one leg straight, one bent. The dogs like to sleep in the triangle. If Hazel Grace gets there first, Gus will go to the end of the bed where there's a window and bark, making HG think something's out there, and she'll jump up to go see what it is. He then runs and jumps in the triangle. Hahahaa.. she's starting to get wise to it now, though.

Mine don't usually tease about food, but they'll "mess with each other" to get their favorite place to lay.

If our Lab (she) is in the good spot, our Poodle (he) will find a toy to play with. He will make a big production of how much fun he's having. She will eventually get up to come join the fun, but then he will immediately abandon the toy and beeline for the spot.

If the Poodle is in the good spot, the Lab will go to the door, look out, and quietly "woof" like "what was that? Did I just hear something?!" She know's the Poodle cannot resist seeing who's at the door! As soon as he runs to the door, she'll run and take his spot!

(The "good spot" is a corner of the family room -- right between a chair and a wall -- and there's a heating/ac vent that blows through there.)

Strange how google brings people to the DIS, gets them to join, just to bump a 12 year old thread? The OP hsn't even been on these boards since 2008 lol

Our miniature schnauzer does that to our Lhasa Apso mix. He doesn’t care about toys at all except when he’s trying to get Bentley out of his favorite spot.

Bentley will also try and keep Oliver out of the living room by “attacking” him anytime he steps on the carpet. Eventually Oliver will give up and just run as fast as possible and jump on the couch.

I know this is a zombie thread, but it seems there are still people interested in talking about it.

I only have the one dog and she wouldn’t tolerate anything else, but she does go to doggy daycare everyday and I’ve always said that she’s kind of an *** :rotfl2:

She always greets and sniffs other dogs first, but does not like other dogs sniffing around her. She’ll see what a dog is all about sniff it’s butt and then when he/she goes to sniff my dog, she sits down like nope. All the dogs tend to nap in the afternoon. She waits until everybody is sleeping or lazing about them runs around barking and getting them all riled up and when there’s chaos she goes and curls up in the corner!

She’s done this since she was a puppy. She is a real pot stirrer.

Only have one dog but the cats will tease her sometimes or rather torment her. And I used to have a brother/sister set of cats. The brother would get as close to his sister(who didn't like him at all) as he could and just stand there. Or run at her real fast and then slowly walk past her. I swear I could here him going "not touching you, I'm not touching you".

I also know it's a zombie thread, but my aussiedoodle LOVES to tease one of my terriers. He grabs a toy, generally a bone, and then walks slowly by her, putting the toy really close to her mouth, then we she jumps at it, he spins the other way so she can't have it. He is always so proud of himself and will do this as long as she puts up with it.
