Do you let you children choose the resort or do you primarily choose? Please take the poll!

We narrow it down to 3 or 4 we can afford and then let our children pick. If we let them pick whatever they wanted we would be at a deluxe every single time. Most likely AKL which is not my or DH fave. We like BC and the kid's think it is boring there. My youngest does not really care all that much, he would be happy anywhere!

For most if not all vacations I let the my DD's have some say in where we stay, I figure it's their vacation also. That being said I of course have the ULTIMATE MOM AUTHORITY, this is a dictatorship not a democracy, power for all decisions should I choose to use it. :rolleyes1

We also narrow it down to 'budget' choices and have DD's $0.02. (DS only 3 months :goodvibes ) - It looks like PoP
*this being said....DD has talked us into staying a AKL on the last night of our stay!
:confused3

We rotate our choices between the four of us. We visit 4-5 times annually for a week or more, therefore, we usually get our choice each year!

i voted that i choose, because, well, i do... but i let the kids watch the planning video, and make note of their reactions... ds likes to look at the slide shows at allearsnet.com and wdw.com of the different resorts... i know he would love to stay at AKL but it's out of our price range and he's cool w/that... what he doesn't know is that we're tacking two nights on the end of our trip to stay there! i cannot wait for him to think we're just visiting and then find his clothes in the room! LOL!

We have 3-4 choices in mind & then discuss with our kids. My DH & I have the final say of course but we do take the kids opinions into consideration.

For our upcoming trip in Oct my dd would love to stay at the CR so we might do that if we can get an AP rate.

Disney chose for me. Because of my huge family (3 kids, 2 adults), we only really have one non-deluxe choice. You guessed it POR AB ;)

We could only afford a value this trip so I picked out POP and talked it up to ds and he's happy. Of course I didn't show him pictures of any other resorts. ;)

Hey - I get what WDW has for the best price.

otherwise I use my DVC and stay at OKW.

We choose as a family. If DS11 had his way we'd be staying at POP :teeth:

I work out the point costs for several DVC resorts and we discuss it as a family over dinner.

My children are only 1 and 4. Although my 4 year old would choose the CR each time!
We choose, but our decision has how much our children will love the resort. You say, your 4 yr old loves the CR? It was her first resort she stayed at with grand gatherings.
She always wants to stay at the resort "where the train goes through the middle".

Our next trip we'll be staying at pop. Price range, kid fun, mom and dad fun were all variables.

I strongly influence the choice of hotel, leading everyone to decide that they want to stay just at the resort where I want to stay. Actually a lot of it is based on the need for my children to have their own sleeping places. So that has led to the AKL with bunk beds and to the CR with a day bed. After the trip next year, we will probably only make one more trip with the kids and then it will just be me and the DW. The decisions then will probably be more a shared decision.

DW and I choose the resort and though our grandchildren have their favorites, they are always more than happy to stay anywhere as long as it's at WDW.

We decide as a family. Of course, dh and I offer what we feel is acceptable to us. DS puts in his request and he knows that sometimes his wishes are granted and sometimes they are not. We do this for all vacations, WDW or not.
