Do you want to/need to see Bin Laden's body?

I think they should have put him in some beach gear with some cool sunglassesand rolled him around a la "Weekend at Bernies."

In all seriousness, no, I have no desire to see it and I take the word of our Commander in Chief and the brave troops who confirmed it.

My mad photoshop skillz!

I believe the photo will be released at some point.

And even if it is, no one will believe it. They will claim it's photoshopped. If they personally saw the body, they would say it's a body double. If they see DNA evidence, they will claim it's faked. It's great to have a healthy amount of skepticism. But skepticism based on party lines -- not so healthy.

Well, a body for one. Like I said earlier-it's just too convenient that he was "buried at sea". They could ALWAYS have done that later. Yes, they say they have DNA-and when you throw out those letters, people assume that can't be wrong-but like I said, where did they get the previous samples to compare this one to?? How about some information about that? Yes, photos can be faked and just releasing a photo would still not convince me he is actually dead for that reason. I see no reason that they could not have brought his body somewhere, gotten outside confirmation from several different countries and released the DNA information as proof they have actually killed him--THEN dump his body at sea.

Hey, maybe they should have saved his body and then taken it on a US National Tour so we could all see for ourselves...of course, how would we REALLY know even then? Do we have definite markings or telling a certain birhtmark to look for?! Seriously, I don't always buy what the gov't is selling, but I do believe this one and no, I prefer not to see his body.

I would like to see the LONG FORM DNA papers, however. Certificate of death does nothing for me:rotfl:

They got the DNA sample from his dead body. Don't you think that if the US said he was dead and he wasn't, he would be putting out another video with dated proof that he was still alive. He id dead.

Right---but you need something to compare that DNA TO to show that is OBL's. You can just map out DNA and figure out who the person is from that mapping. Yes, I do believe that if we CAPTURED him, we would say we killed him so we didn't have to comply with the Genevra Convention for treatment of prisoners of war.

There are living BL relatives here in the US. I believe one that did an interview a few years back was a daughter. Much of his family disowned him and finds him as heinous as the rest of us do. They could definitely link the DNA.

I believe that kind of extreme skepticism is actually based in some form of mental illness.

They will compare it to DNA of his family members. Anything else?

This. A thousand times this. I think if he had been killed during the last administration, the questions would not exist.

I don't think it always has to do with part lines, there are those who distrust the Gov't in general, no matter what side is sitting in The White House.

Right, that SAY THAT in the press conference.... like I posted earlier. If you take everything at face value, fine by me, I like to see more evidence personally. Anything else??

If we release the photos there will be those who say how wrong, if we don't we are liars. I believe he is dead, as much as I would like to see his dead body I am OK if they do not get leaked or released.

I voted for the person in office right now...:rolleyes1

Nope. I figure if the President was confident enough to announce it to the world on tv that Bin Laden was dead, I'll take his word for it.

My thoughts exactly.

I cannot believe this thread. Regardless of whether you like the president or the government, it's common sense! The President would not lie about something this major. There is no way he is not dead. President Obama wouldn't do that, even for political gain.

You're absolutely right. :thumbsup2
