Finally read this thread and just wanted to thank tatertot and four swampers for cracking me up this morning!

I don't think it makes a difference WHAT you wear as pajamas...it's tacky.

The ships have a "dress code" for a reason. I think they'd prefer people are "dressed" when they eat or walk around the ship.

I was also taught to never walk around in just a swim suit. "One must always wear a cover up".

Because you have class. Or at least an understanding of what is appropriate outer apparel.

I'll ask YOU the same thing as I did her....maybe you'll respond, since she didn't.

If there's a POLL, and someone gives their opinion on that poll....why is that judgemental? It's an OPINION. And everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

It gets rather old on here, seeing so many people get so worked up over one little word or phrase. :sad2::sad2:

No conflict here; nothing to see, just keep moving...in your regular clothes, please ;)

If by "Pajamas" you mean "tighty whiteys," then yes, yes I do.

If by "pajamas" you mean "spray tan," then yes, yes I do.

February 25th, 7:40 EST. Just looked at my 14 year old daughter who is about to get into my car and go to school. Eighth grade. She is still in her pajamas. "Are you going to school in that," I asked. Her reply: "It's pajama day." Fair enough. :rotfl:

:lmao: Thank you for the mental image of an orange man in tightey whiteys at the drink station!

Brilliant!! I would have never thought of it, but sounds so fun. Again, especially in a group setting. An organized late night PJ & Movie night. Way fun:thumbsup2

This sounds awesome to me too, maybe on the Halloween cruise! :thumbsup2

For the record, I have been known to (while staying in my car) drop kids at school or hockey practice in my jammies and coat. I don't want to get out in them, but if I had to, I am well covered as they are either my Christmas mickey flannels or my Animal Kingdom hidden mickey long cotton bottoms! Love them both.

Me, too...that was funny!

There are probably going to be times when we all do something like that....my mom used to just put a coat over her pajamas to drive us to school, and then pray she didn't get into a car accident...but I think she figured if she DID get into an accident, what she was wearing would be the least of her problems. :rotfl:

We actually planned a DIS Meet for a Jammie Breakfast. And... it was fun. Everyone specifically purchased Disney PJs for the gathering. This wasn't a cast of being too sloppy or too lazy to put on proper attire. In fact, I'm sure most of us got changed into our brand new Disney jammies before heading to breakfast. We even contacted the Dining Room beforehand to be sure this would be ok, and it was. Everyone who came had a great time! :thumbsup2

That said, Other than a planned Jammie breakfast, I probably wouldn't wear my PJs to breakfast ;)

Driving the kids around in my jammies, absolutely!! I always pray someone doesn't want to stop and chat, but yes, I do this. I think most moms with multiple kids have done this at one time or another. Especially when we are sick.

I would do both Jammie breakfast and Jammie movie night!! I'll even pack a blanket and snuggle up with my kids. I might fall asleep, but sounds like a blast

I live in yoga pants when on vacation and they can be construed as "pajamas".

I will also point out that my kiddos (and I know this is true for some other families as well) have sensory issues and many times if they are hyper stimulated in multiple ways (the noise and fun of vacation!) they will want to stay in "silkies" which are their silk pajamas. My thought is this: It's their vacation too, and I want them to enjoy the heck out of it. If that means they are playing and running in articles of clothing that due to having a flame retardant chemical attached to them we label them "pajamas" then so be it.
To each their own!!

The teen club has programming until 2 AM. So I set my alarm, wake up, walk out in my PJs and escort my teen back to my room.

YUP - ALL IN MY PJS!!!!

:thumbsup2

This thread has reminded me that I need to buy some Disney pajamas for my upcoming cruise, so thanks! :thumbsup2

What exactly IS a troll? Is it based on number of posts? Because you don't have very many, either.

Am I a troll if I took my first Disney cruise in 2003....and have taken 14 of them?
Am I a troll because I never posted before, but just read?

I look in the mirror, and I don't look like a troll. I look like a regular person.

I was searching for something else entirely, when I came across this on the sticky DCL FAQ's. Look at post #13. Something about not walking around in your nightgown....pajamas, same difference. And cruise etiquette in general. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2713199

Something else entirely?? Which is why you've been posting on multiple threads the same thing..... Have you heard of the expression troll?

music please.....Let it go.... Let it go....

Not that I need to explain myself, but I was looking at the FAQ's to see if the list was in there that MMouse posted in response to someone asking about things that aren't included in the cost of the cruise.

That FAQ thing comes in pretty handy.

And yes, I posted on two threads.....and the only reason I even brought it up again at all is because on THIS thread, I asked what was so bad about saying I thought pj's in public were tacky....I had said I wasn't calling PEOPLE tacky, just pajamas in public.

I had also said that it seems like it's okay for people here to talk trash about other things...Carnival cruisers, for example, and THEY don't get smacked around like I did. So why???

No one seems to want to answer that. So far, all anyone has done is call ME names. Which makes it oh-so-much better than me using the word tacky.

I seriously DO wish someone would honestly answer me.....why is tacky wrong, but saying something like "cheap-o CCL cruisers" is okay???

Actually, I'm not. I just want someone to explain to me why there's a double standard on here.
Will YOU be the one to tell me?

I have a feeling no one will answer that, because I'm right and there's no reason why I should have gotten so picked on for saying pajamas are tacky.

I didn't think so. It's just easier to call people names, I guess.
And everyone says DISers are so nice and friendly. :sad2:
