I have a feeling no one will answer that, because I'm right and there's no reason why I should have gotten so picked on for saying pajamas are tacky.

First, I didn't study every word being said for or against you, so I may have some of it wrong.

I think originally something was replied about you using the word tacky, because you were being a bit derogatory to fellow posters who partake in wearing things you (and others) find inappropriate. You may not have meant to be derogatory, but "tacky" is most often used in a demeaning fashion. You stated you were just answering the poll, but the poll did not ask how you felt about the practice, just if you did/didn't wear PJs in public places on the ship and where else besides the drink station if you did.

Of course people will express their opinions in a forum, that is what they are for. I didn't see it as being attacked, but if you felt this way, better to apologize for what you may have said and move on instead of bringing it up again and continuing to make comments on what people wear in public. We all have our opinions, but they are better kept to yourself most of the time.

As for the double standard, I don't think there is one. What was said in the quote you referenced was wrong, but people get tired of defending things or don't deem it worth their time. This particular poster has made her thoughts on Carnival quite clear on many occasions. No one is going to take the time to say something each. and. every. time.

What exactly IS a troll? Is it based on number of posts? Because you don't have very many, either. Am I a troll if I took my first Disney cruise in 2003....and have taken 14 of them? Am I a troll because I never posted before, but just read? I look in the mirror, and I don't look like a troll. I look like a regular person.

Not that I need to explain myself, but I was looking at the FAQ's to see if the list was in there that MMouse posted in response to someone asking about things that aren't included in the cost of the cruise. That FAQ thing comes in pretty handy. And yes, I posted on two threads.....and the only reason I even brought it up again at all is because on THIS thread, I asked what was so bad about saying I thought pj's in public were tacky....I had said I wasn't calling PEOPLE tacky, just pajamas in public. I had also said that it seems like it's okay for people here to talk trash about other things...Carnival cruisers, for example, and THEY don't get smacked around like I did. So why??? No one seems to want to answer that. So far, all anyone has done is call ME names. Which makes it oh-so-much better than me using the word tacky. I seriously DO wish someone would honestly answer me.....why is tacky wrong, but saying something like "cheap-o CCL cruisers" is okay???

I think you need to move on. You're obsessing. Not everyone is going to pat you on the back for every word you type. When you wrote that wearing PJs out is "tacky" to be honest I was offended. I wear PJs out. I don't think I'm tacky. I don't think the dozens of other people I see wearing PJ bottoms to Walmart or the gas station are "tacky". The world has moved on. We don't dress to the nines to fly on a plane. We don't don formal apparel to dine for dinner. It's not that unusual to walk to the mailbox without makeup on. That's my opinion.

If my saying that I think judgey people are tacky has so offended you so much that you are still obsessing over it two days later I should apologize. If that's the worst thing anyone ever says to you on the internet...congratulations.
