Do you ever change your restaurant plans to take advantage of the DVC discounts? In other words, do you plan restaurant meals based on the discounts?

We don't. We just eat where we want and if they happen to have a discount, then great. I'm not saying we never would, but they haven't been substantial enough, or the restaurants were just not what we've wanted.

We didn't really "change" plans, but I looked at the list of restaurants that had discounts for DVCers, and chose a couple I wanted to try anyway. Will likely do the same next time. Of course, I don't limit my dining to just the places with discounts--but I'm always happy to save a couple of bucks. (and , BTW, Marrakesh is great fun!)

I voted yes, although I wouldn't say I've "changed" a meal to a restaurant for a discount, if we're undecided about where to eat, we'll usually pick the discounted one over a non-discounted meal. It also help that restaurants in the DVC perks are some of our favorites.

I voted occaisionally, but after reading the response, "yes" may have been the proper vote. We do regularly use the dining discounts for DVC and AP, but only if that is where we want to eat. We do not change our dining plans or select the location just to use the discounts.

I voted never, but I did eat at Yachtman's Steak House and the waiter told me he applied my discount. I gave him a $30 tip. He may have only got a $25 tip without the discount, but I would not swear to that. When we got to WDW we spend a lot of money on meals the discount is not even considered when making plans. In fact it may make me go to a place where discounts are not offered but I do not pay any attention to the discounts stuff, so that would not happen.

We didn't have PS for dinner on Sunday, but noticed that the Cape May clambake would have the DVC discount, and so, around 2PM we called for ressies. We enjoyed the meal and the discount.

No, we don't keep track of the discount-giving restaurants, so unless we blunder into one by accident and the waiter notices the DVC member on our room key, we don't get any discounts.

I voted no because we have the Disney Dining Experience card. I probably would use the DVC discount if we didn't have DDE but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so.

I voted yes, although we have not really "altered plans" to attend one. We usually look at the list and if one of our favorites is on it, we make a note to use the discount. We have occationally found out about a discount AFTER we have paid full price!

I was pleasantly surprised by the current selection... We've got several "perky" restaurants lined up this trip!

I didn't vote but will admit that I try to coordinate some dining experiences with the opportunity to use either DVC or AP card discounts. That just gives me a few extra bucks to spend elsewhere.

I voted no. We do go to places that offer discounts but I take that into consideration when we are planning, I don't alter plans that I've made. The AP discount works great for us, because in Epcot, we tend to eat a late lunch as opposed to dinner, so it works out nicely.

I would suggest that we do try to use our discounts where they apply because if we do not we could possibly lose them. I do believe that they keep track of the numbers so far as how many are using these discounts. If no one uses them, there is no reason to offer them. Just something to think about.

We never change plans just to take advantage of a dining discount, but I do pay attention to the DVC (and AP) dining discounts and ask for them if they are not automatically applied. We frequently use dining discounts at home as well, including those in two "Entertainment Coupon"-type booklets that we purchase each year.

I voted "yes" because I usually try and plan a couple meals around whatever restaurants DVC discounts can be applied to. There are still exceptions, such as Boma which we have to visit every trip because we enjoy it so much.

I use my Member card every chance I get. Frequently, I will schedule restaurant visits around the discounts.:earsboy:

You don't have the "Yes, if I don't forget about it ..." option.

After a nice relaxing meal, I sometimes foget. :)

we were total losers this last trip, after becomming members! We ate at all kinds of places at the right time, with our member card in out pockets and completely forgot to use it!

Can I vote in a few weeks when we get back?

ESPN was just listed in the newest member clubhouse as 10% off on lunch. I will now use the perk more than ever if it's still available in November. I've never seen a discount there.

While I don't often alter plans to use the discount, I frequently make plans to use it!

By all means, if you go to a restaurant with a discount, remember to use the card!! The more people that do, the more they'll continue to give discounts to attract DVCers.

That said, I've forgotten also.
