Do you tip a private charter captain?

We are getting a half day private charter at one of our ports, I think it’s grand cayman. Never done this before. The captain owns the boat and will just be him taking us to see stingrays and starfish. No fishing.
Do you tip??

Everything I’ve read is about tipping the first mate for a fishing charter, which this is not. People seem to be split on tipping the owner/captain in those instances already.

you can even email captain and ask him suggestion.

I tipped, on the booking website there were suggestions for tips for crew members and I followed those.
