Do you think the week after the superbowl will be really crowded?

We will be in Disney the week after the superbowl and I was just starting to wonder if it will be overly crowded because the superbowl is in Tampa this year....what do people think????
Crissy

The Supedowl is actually in Jacksonville this year and I don't think it will have much impact on park attendance the following week.

Oh great. I try so hard to schedule around the major events: MLK day, President's Day, Daytona. Now they schedule the Superbowl and foul it all up. Hopefully, the men will attend and just leave the families at home. Most of the kids will probably have school, anyway. So maybe it won't have that much of an impact.

In any case, I would nail down those reservations.

We have been twice the week after the SuperBowl. I really didn't notice any big jump in the crowds.

The only exception may be the MVP parade the next morning at MGM.

you'll be fine...last year, the only problem we had was- realizing after waiting in line at the ESPN restuarant at BWI - was that it was Superbowl Sunday:rolleyes:...

...and we left:)

LOL!!
We were on vacation!! all was good!
Parks weren't busy at all:)

:sunny:

Crikey! I forgot about the Superbowl! I'll be in the world in Jan., and I too carefully scheduled around January events, or so I thought.. when is the Superbowl?:o

OMG! I didn't realize it was SO late this year, ugh. I was planning to be at WDW the 5th-10th but we always watch the superbowl, though I certainly can live without it if I have to, LOL.

We were in Disney World for this past superbowl. We stayed at Pop Century. It was fun. Seemed like everyone gathered in the food court to watch the game on the big screen TV's.
We were there for the MVP parade the next day at the Magic Kingdom at 2:30 and the trophy ceremony at 4 pm.

I had heard that ESPN you could not get near. They started lining up at 10:30 am for the 6 pm game.

Thanks Chuck-PA. How did you find the crowds in the parks? How was the parade? Crowded?
