Do you sleep with your wedding ring on?

I always wear my engagement & wedding ring...because I can't get them off anymore. :scared: Sometimes I can get my engagement ring off but not the wedding band.

Only when on vacation. I figure the likelihood of me forgetting it and leaving it in a hotel room for some enterprising maid to take is too great. Otherwise, I have a ring holder next to my alarm clock. I also don't shower with my rings on.

I don't take mine off unless I make meatloaf or meatballs.:lmao:

I take mine off when gardening, packing orders, and working with anything messy like ground beef or paint.

Other than that it stays on. I get it checked twice a year as well to make sure no prongs or diamonds are loose.

I have a ring holder on my bedside table that it goes on when I'm not wearing it so it's not just sitting any old place.

A jeweler told me that since my diamond was set in prongs and not channel set, to take it off when I slept. He said that rubbing against the sheets, etc., is really hard on the prongs, and can weaken them, causing the diamond to fall out. So, I take mine off when I sleep, and put it on in the morning.

I only take mine off to clean it, make meatballs or paint (and only then when I remember and that is usually after I got paint on it!). I worked for a jeweler (not jewelry store, jeweler actually making jewelry) and he never said anything about sleeping with it on being rough on the prongs.

I have not had mine on since I was pregnant with oldest DD who will be 11 next week.

I never take mine off. For mess cooking or projects, I just wear disposable gloves.

My wedding band which is blessed and a plain gold band I keep on all the time. My other rings come off when I get home.

I only wear mine when I go out. I know how hard daily life can be gems and jewelry can be. I used to always wear my rings until I saw how damaged they became in just a few years. Now I don't wear them. I love them and was so broken hearted when one setting got damaged badly that I respect them too much to wear them too often.

I have arthritis and have to take mine off at night.
I've already had them cut off once, because my fingers swell.
However my DH never takes his off.
I'm sure everyone is different for different reasons.

I take mine off every night and put them back on in the morning after I do my hair. The main reason being that in the morning my hands are swollen, so the rings are tight...by 9pm they are so loose that if I swing my arm gesturing, I'm liable to send one flying across the room.

I do leave them on during the day, although I'm really bad about fidgeting with them when I lecture, often switching them from one hand to the other and back. I'm trying to break myself of that, but it is soooo hard!

I wonder if I'm the only one that has the problem with hands swelling at night, rings being tight in the morning then loose at night?

I leave mine on at night. The only time I took them off was when I was pregnant.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't... Sometimes I don't even wear mine out of the house.... all depends on the size of my fingers that day-they swell easy... its going to be F-U-N dealing with the swelling to come when we move to Orlando next month....
