Do you redo restaurants or do new ones??

We repeat our favorites and then we try some new ones. This year we are trying Deluxe Dining so for the first time we are going to:
Narcooses
Teppen Edo
Flying Fish
Yachtman Steakhouse

My first trip with TS I didn't repeat (it was only Hollywood & Vine breakfast and not because I didn't like it but because I didn't want to do a breakfast buffet). Second one was HDDR and I hated it. In 2006 we did the DDP and also ate at Planet Hollywood. We ate 6 TS. Of those I would return to 3 of them. In 2008 I made ADRs for all three of those, except one was for the breakfast buffet. One of them ended up canceling when we got there because even though we had an ADR it was another hour + wait and we wanted to see the Space Shuttle. The same trip we returned to Planet Hollywood. We also added another TS to this trip we didn't do before.

Out of all the trips these restaurants would be ones I'd return to:
Tappan Edo
WCC
These ones I might return to:
Boma (dinner only)
'Ohana
Planet Hollywood (though more than likely will return since you get a voucher)
These ones I'd probably not return to:
Le Cellier (because of the cost)
Chef Mickey's
Sci-Fi
HDDR
Any breakfast buffet

I commented to my ex about how pretty soon we will never try anything new at WDW because every time we go we find a restaurant we really like.

We like to try new ones but throw in a few reliables.

Since it will be just me and my DS4 in May, I'm taking the opportunity to try out some restaurants that I think are suitable for him.

We're trying for the first time: WCC, 1900PF (breakfast & dinner), Sci Fi, Tony's, and Ohana BFB,

We're and returning to: Tutto and CP (but we've never been to dinner here just bf, so I guess this is new too).

So what do you do? Have 1 or 2 repeats and then all new or do all new ones each trip.

Out of the 9 TS we have planned, only 2 are repeats; 'Ohana and Tony's. The new ones we have planned are: Le Cellier, Restaurant Marrakesh, Sci-Fi, Crystal Palace, T-Rex, Boma, Beaches, and maybe Rose and Crown if we find a night.

I would also return to Cal Grill, Coral Reef, and Raglan Road but promised myself we would try new places.

I will not return to CRT or Chef Mickey's.

at least one new and one repeat each trip but it depends on availability. The free dining has made it a pain to get into some of the table service restaurants even in off season. Since my wife and I have gotten married and had our reception at the Hoop Dee Do, that is our traditional anniversary spot. We love Ohana' since they put some of the more popular items back on the selection. My wife has been a sport about trying new foods like French, German, English and the like. Next trip will be Prime Time (a favorite) and the Chefs de France (it's only a two nighter).

There are a few we avoid because they do not present a value. The wife loves the character dining experiences s we try to work one of those in on each trip. The pics are great memories There are some where the food is barely adequate and overpriced so we don't repeat those. Unless Sci Fi has changed dramatically since our last experience there, I would avoid it. Prime Time or Hollywood and Vine are much better choices.

We have discovered that dining at the counter service restaurants next to the table service ones have the exact same food for a lot less so you may want to give them a shot.

this will be our third trip as a family and we will be going with some extended family this time so all of the restaurants will be new to them. However for us some are 2nd or 3rd repeats, some new.
New:
Le Cellier(this time for dinner for 1st time, but done for lunch twice.)
Biergarten
Tutto Italia

Repeats for us:
Ohana
Crystal Palace, breakfast
Chef Mickey
Bomas
WCC(for my daughters birthday this time!!)

We may also add sci fi if we can get it. That would be new.
