I don't pee in the pool nor take a crap in the pool.

Just a FYI - Pee is sterile unless someone has a UTI or a kidney infection. Crap is never sterile.

I am not advocating peeing in the pool - I just had to share some info.:p

Sterile or not - that is just gross (and lazy). Yuck!! Never in a million years.

I tried to explain this to my Dad while I finished bathing my 6 month-old DD right after my Dad saw her pee in the tub. (all that was left was to rinse her off) He was really grossed out that I didn't empty out the tub and start over again.

Oh, and I don't pee in the pool. I can't speak for my kids though, and obviously, the 6 month-old does.:p

I can practically feel Disney's stock price dropping.

There is no excuse for anyone over the age of 4 not getting out to go.

My now 5 y/o has gotten out of the pool to pee since she was potty trained!

Never, never, never!!! I can't believe some people have voted yes. I'm hoping they are trying to be funny and not telling the truth. Who would do that?

People have voted yes because the question is "Do you get OUT of the pool to pee". So I answered yes I do get out of the pool to pee. Maybe you are thinking the question is "Do you pee in the pool"?

We always get out. We have a sign posted on our pool, it reads:

Welcome to our ool,
notice there is no P in our ool
lets keep it that way. :teeth:

I try to avoid pools where small children are at ALL COSTS. And those swim diapers-  -do they really work??? I don't want to risk it.

Swim diapers keep in really solid waste - really soft waste or diarreah - not a chance. Pee - goes straight through.::yes::

reading these posts has me laughing one minute and gagging the next. I always get out of the pool by the way!

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DID ANSWER THAT YOU PEED IN THE POOL ........... DONT BE HURT IF YOU DONGT GET A INVITE TO SWIM IN OURS ! LOL

Actually, swimming pools are nothing more than large, community bath tubs. There is all sorts of matter being 'washed' from people's bodies. Thank God for pool chemicals!

Reading this reminded me of a terrible experience.

I had the most embarassing experience at the CBR in 03 with my 3 year old. She was potty trained and didn't wear a swim diaper. Well, my girls always get out of the pool and go to the potty at my aunt's house, so I didn't think it was an issue.

I went into the shop there right by the pool looking for a pair of flip flops for myself when I returned there was a look of horror on my mom's face. My three year old got out of the pool and pooped all over herself!!! OMG it was terrible. So I'm needing to get her to the bathroom right by the kiddie pool but she would be dripping BM all over the place. So, I searched in the bag and took out a diaper (my 1.5 year old was in swim diapers) and strapped it around her to hold it in until we got to the bathroom.

I have to say the CM that cleans the pool bathroom was the most helpful person ever. I took her straight to the shower and started to undress her, when the CM came in and asked if I needed anything. I said just leave the cleaning products so I can disinfect the shower when we were finished.

The CM refused to leave the products because she said she would do it herself. I kept telling her over, and over again that this was WAY beyond her duties and to please let me do it.

She brought me towels and helped me get her cleaned. I also told her that I would clean up the mess on the pool area and she wouldn't hear of it.

Needless to say my DD wore a swim diaper for the rest of the week and the kiddie pool seemed less crowded when we came aroun :hyper:

It was so embarassing!

EWW! YUCK! This is simply gross! Of COURSE I and everyone in my family get out of a pool if we need to use the restroom. Come on, where are all 35 people who admitted they don't get out? Do you 35 also pee on yourselves in the bathtub???

:crazy2:

A couple of years ago, 4th of July on Lake Winnesquam, on my brother's boat anchored at the "sand bar". The sand bar is a shallow area where probably 25 to 30 boats of varying sizes were anchored for a party made up mostly of the members of the beach association that he belonged to. Most of the boats were either pontoon boats, or just day use pleasure boats. People were grilling on their boats, eating sandwiches and drinking a lot of BEER!. Of course, people were also cooling off in water.....supposedly. It then occurred to me after a couple of hours that most of these boats didn't even have a porta potty and no one was leaving the sand bar. That was the end of me getting in the water and cooling off!

We tell our kids that pools have a special chemical that turns bright red if someone pees in it. No one has admitted to testing it yet!

Love it!! I haven't had to use that on my boys. They just announce "I have to go potty!" and go find the bathroom. I really find it hard to believe that an adult would be that lazy as to pee in the pool. I don't care how many chemicals there are to clean it, that is just inexcusable. Shame on you that do!! Do you think the rest of us want to swim in your pee?

I was at the county pool once, sitting at the kiddie pool. I watched as a young girl, about 10, came over from the adult pool, bent over the water, looked between her legs and PEED! I was in such a state of shock that I was at a loss for words. (and if you knew me, you would know just how shocked I was!) That was the last time I visited the county pool, I joined a local community pool the next week...

I forgot to say that I do NOT pee in the pool...
