I could see kids maybe 4 and under doing that. But older than that , it's dirty and disgusting.

40 of you pee in the pool?

Gross.

We dont. Even my 4 yr old will tell me he needs to peepee and we get out and go to the bathroom. I dont care to swim in pee--mine or anyone elses. Yuck.

This really gives me the heebie jeebies! I spend all summer
at and in the pool. I had no idea so many/if any grownups
peed in the pool. I avoid the baby pool for that reason, now
I'm going to shower after every swim! Yuk!

Nope Never. Now any other swimming hole, (natural, not man made like BB orTL) all bets are off!

Though I do have a horror story. DD, about 3.5 at the time, came rushing out of a public pool, grabbed her towel and procceded to squat and pee on it! :o :earseek: :o I was horrified! But she did not pee in the pool!

NO! I never did but I can remember our local pool telling us about the red dye.... LOL I think it scared a good many of us...

Yes I get out. I wish that everyone would do the same but I know they don't. That's the reason I hate swimming in public pools. Someone had an accident last May while we were at POP. YUCK!!!!

...yes, but I have to tell you, putting a cold, wet, clammy bathing suit back on after going to the bathroom is just NASTY!:crazy2:

At Blizzard Beach this summer, Maddy didn't tell me she had to go to the bathroom...she just all of a sudden did it up at the top of the ride by the family raft. WOOOOOOO.....we were all embarrassed!

I was there at the time. I thought it was April? It could have been another incident. You almost have to not think about that happening. I'm sure it does but at the time I'm in the pool I refuse to think that someone would not go and use the bathroom. Young kids would probably not give it a second thought. I guess if you thought about alot of things you would probably not do half of them. Eating out would be a big one. How do you know the cooks wash their hands after using the bathroom? It all can be kinda sick if you really think about it.

oh my God yes.

This past summer my dd dug a hole at hampton beach and pee'd in it, right through her bathing suit. I only knew because she laughed and said "i did it" when she finished. At least she covered the hole.
P.S. she didn't get that from me. We don't do things like that in my family.

I used to swim in a pool that actually did that. I made sure that the stuff didn't get close to me. It was the worst for people who did pee in there, they would turn as red as the stuff following them.

You obviously has this confused with PHENOL RED which is a chemical reagent dye used to test for pH in a pool. It can measure pH from 6.8 to 8.4. It is not used to detect urine, nor would it cause a pool to turn red around any individual who urinated in the pool. There is no dye designed to work in swimming pools to detect urine and it's not a compound anyone appears to be working on either.

The normal measuring range of urine is: pH 5-8.5 which translate to slightly acidic to neutral to slighly alkaline. Even if there was urine in the pool it would not be enough to effect the pH of the water.

Well.....I just pull my bathing suit to the side!:D I don't have to take it off and all is good!:sunny:

I do get out of the pool. I cannot say for my 3 children.

I do like my mother taught me. I go before I get in the pool. :sunny:

But if the urge comes on, I get out. :teeth:

I get out of the pool...

But now that I see how many people apparently don't, I think think I will be spending a lot less time in the pool... :crazy2:

WOW!!!! over 20% of you pee in the pool??? OH MY GOD!!!!

First let me say this... THAT IS GROSS! Is it that hard to get out of the pool? That's just RUDE.
