Do you put ID bracelet on child at parks?

We have used Who's Shoe Child ID on each of our last trips. My son wore them on his sneakers and my daughter wore it on her sandals without a problem. We just left them on their shoes and didn't have to remember to put something on them each day. I have kept them on my son's shoes since we have returned.

We use these and they are awesome! We never needed them at Disney but my eldest wandered off at the Bronx Zoo one day. The security guard saw his shoe tag and was about to call when my DH found him!
My kids know that if they get lost, they tell a CM that mommy and daddy's phone numbers are on their shoes.

We went last year with dog tags -- DS4 (well, almost, at the time) wore his like a necklace, while we used luggage-sized chains to attach the tags to belt loops in DD2's and DS2's pants.

Twice during the week we were momentarily separated from DS4, and he followed his "training" perfectly, pulling out his tag and showing it to "another mommy". Fortunately, in both cases, we found him before a call was even needed, but I was very pleased he kept his cool like that when he got separated.

Last time we used ID bracelets...this time we are trying tattoos. This was I can put the tattoo in a place where no one can see it but easy for the child to show security if they get lost. Plus I won't have to worry about them playing with it and taking it off. The tattoo is suppose to last 2 weeks and it is waterproof. Perfect as I know they will be spending a lot of free time in the pool.

Haven't read the thread - but we bought tattoos for our son - it has both our cell phone numbers on, so perfect for in the parks :)

As a side note, something that we found to be very handy, ID tags for our daughters lovey. She has a stuff dog, Walt, that she got on her first trip at 11 months old. It goes every where with her. If he leaves the house, we put on a little dog collar with a dog tag that has our phone number. Only time we needed it was last year at Epcot. I was saving the spot in line for the bus while my daughter and Grandma rested on the bench. Bus came, we got on and about half way through the ride back to Pop, my daughter asks where Walt is, Total panic ensues and just then my phone rings. A lifesaver of a lady is on the next bus with Walt. Now the collar waits by the door for any excursions.

Great thinking! Wish I would have done this with "special baby" when dd lost her at the mall when she was 2!

I use a Road ID bracelet. They are made for runners and I have one for myself, for my own safety when running alone. They are comfortable and durable, so I bought one for my son to wear when traveling, etc. We've had the same ones for years and are very happy with them.
