just curious if people do the extras or just do the parks. i'm surprising my dd with the pirate cruise, my dh with the ride along nascar thing, and hope to get an illuminations cruise for x-mas eve.

just curious.

I was seriously considering sending my boys on the pirate cruise, but when free dining came up we decided to take trip earlier and make it a day shorter. The day we would have just been lounging! Maybe next time.

When we go next year we're getting tix for MNSSHP. Other than that, we basic type of people

Just the basics. That leaves me more money (and time) for camping in the mountains, Six Flags, Stone Mountain, Las Vegas, etc.

If we do anything extra, it's usually one thing . . . plenty of other hidden little free things to do that are outside the "normal" scope of the parks. :)

Quite actually, I think I already pay enough to enjoy the things that are included in the price, that I don't pay for the extras. And that leaves more money for souvenirs/ collectibles!

Not really. We already have the add on's on our passes: Water Parks, DTD and Disney Quest. This year we will probably just go mini golfing a night or two, I'm hoping we still get the 50% off with the passes.

We are doing the Free Dining, so we will get to try more TS places next trip.

But other than that, no.

We do what we want with in reason. Mnsshp is a must if you are there when it is happening. We are overbooked for one meal so we will just pay for an extra and stuff like that.

One extra for us, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for DD as a surprise. Of course that was on a day we didn't have park passes, so we made a whole day of poking around DD. And managed not to buy anything other than lunch! I'm a champion window shopper!

Yep, we go all out on vacation but we also save hard for it :thumbsup2

I usually carry a couple extra duffles to take home souvenirs. This year we are doing the castle package at Bibbidi bobbidi boutique for DD, booked the POR kids cruise, doing MNSSHP and may add the pirates cruise and the princess tea. We spoil our lil princess:

I try 1 extra per visit .This trip I have none planned as with buying the DVC downpayment and PAP's things are a bit tight with disposable right now. That could change when we get there but for now I just don't see it.

Oh I forgot I do already have my MVMCP tickets for our Dec trip so thats my 1 extra for that trip.

This is the first year we feel that we have time, plus having gone more recently we are planning a couple of extras. One thing is the Segway tour and I am thinking about horseback riding.

On our most recent vacations we have done more extras. We took the Wishes cruise and when we stayed at FW we rented boats. We do mini golf every time.

Our boys are getting older so we have alot more freedom than we would if we had a baby or toddler.

Depends what you consider an extra:

Last year we did the Tea at the GF (not included in DDP so I figure that's an extra), and my friend and her daughter got manicures and pedicures at the SSR spa.

But the big "extra" for DS was that we stayed at the BC because I just knew he's love SAB -- and I wasn't wrong.

This time I can't afford BC but we're doing "plus" passes so lots of time at the Water Parks (does that count as an extra?), and we'll be eating out at a lot of nice places (no DDP because we got an incredible rate at the Swan).

Other than that we aren't doing much because if I ask myself -- which would DS prefer the pirate cruise, or a tour, or mini-golf or the parks the answer is always the parks or the swimming pool.

Last trip we did the Keys to the Kingdom tour and MNSSHP.

This year planning on seeing Cirque du Soleil and MVMCP.
