Do you need to be a member to rent DVC points. Also do you know if you can use the free dining package if you rent points? Also how do you know how many points you need to rent?

You do not need to be a DVC member to rent points. You will rent your points from a member. DVC members/resorts are NOT eligible for the dining plan.

If you look at the top of this page you'll see "DVC Points Charts". You can find the number of points needed there, based on resort, time of year, and accomodations desired.

It's pretty straight forward.
