car doors when it is parked and locked in the garage? Why or why not?

Just call me curious.....

No, don't lock car doors in a locked garage. Why would you?

No. I can understand why you would ask the question. I believe some individuals do, just in case someone was able to gain access to their garage.

When we used to have agarage I would lock the car doors when the car was in tehre simply because we never locked the garage door. I have since had it remodeled and tured into a 12/22 playroom for my daughter with tray ceilings and skylights,a/c....its the nicest room in the house (next to the kitchen which I just had remodeled)

No, I'm luck to remember to lock the car when it's outside sitting in the driveway:eek:

No, we don't even lock it in the driveway. We live in the middle of 10 acres, and in the middle of the woods. Plus, we have a kennel full of dogs! We don't even get trick or treaters up here at Halloween!

I do, but mostly out of habit... remote entry so it is just habit to press the button to lock it when it is in the garage. No other reason for me, really.

Nope. I also leave my purse and keys in the van while it's in the garage.

Again, I live in rural southern Maryland. Not a lot of crime around here.

never lock it, if someone wants to break in I dont want them to break the window

tkd lisa, I am so glad that you posted this as I thought I was the only one who left it all in the car. It is so bad with me leaving things in the car that yesterday when I brought my purse in the house in the morning to give the kids money, I left for work without it. Had to have the in-laws bring it to me! Threw my whole day off, lol!

We have a garage but there is so much junk in it....we can't park in it!!
Anyway, my car is always in the driveway and the keys are always in it...I have always left them in there...that way I know where they always are!!
I also never lock my house door when we leave...don't even have a house key on my keychain (although DH just made new ones so I can put one on.....he doesn't like me not locking the door)...just was always easier carting the kids in and out when they were younger and that habit has stuck since.

We leave our 4 cars in the driveway all the time and never lock them. We probably should start though, the Cape probably isn't as safe as it used to be. It just seems like such an inconvenience to have to lock the doors.

I don't park mine in the garage. I don't lock my truck doors when I'm at home, but my SO keeps his copy of the keyless remote in his pocket and he seems to lock the doors without knowing about it ALL the time.

Hey Lisa, I know all about your garage::yes:: Mine looked like that until last weekend when it took us 2 days to clean it out. Now we can actually get both cars in it. It's soooo cool!! and no, I don't lock them.

<font color=navy>Sometimes, and only because it's habit from locking it everytime I leave it someplace.

The kids seem to lock it when it's parked in the garage, and leave it unlocked whenever I take them someplace.

My van has been moved to the driveway for the past 6 weeks or so, due to lumber in the garage and I do lock it there. However, the other cars that are in the garage, and mine when it's in there do not get locked. My neighbors lock theres though, I always thought it was kinda funny to lock it in a locked garage.

The car locks itself wherever we leave it...the alarm system locks automatically.

If the cars are in the locked garage, then they are unlocked. If they are outside, they are locked.
