Thanks to the army corps of engineers we have a little beach about 15 minutes from my house. Of course the beach wasn't actually what the army was building, they created the lake it's on and I guess they just threw in the beach to please the locals or something, lol.
Anyway I love this little beach. It's never crowded, it doesn't cost much to go to and it's close enough that we often run there in the evenings in the summer for just an hour or at the most two and relax while Ashli gets in the water and swims and floats and does stupid tricks and nearly drowns herself. Ok, the nearly drowing part isn't so relaxing. Ashli loves to try to worry me so I usually try to play it cool before I finally break down and stand up to get a better view. Ashli knows she's 'won' when she comes up out of the water and I'm standing at the shore anxiously scanning the surface of the water for her.
