shrimp cocktail, fajitas, chicken and shrimp fetticine alfredo, fried (beer battered, coconut, lemon pepper, etc.), hunan, in salad, shrimp po boys, as a side to chesapeake bay crabcakes .......
I LOVE shrimp. They are absolutely my favorite food. I'll eat them almost any way you cook 'em. (Except really spicy like Kung Pao Shrimp--no, no not for me ) The funny thing for me, when I was pregnant with my first child I could not even look at shrimp without getting a case of nausea. I had SUCH an aversion. I was really worried that I had lost my favorite food but not to worry, it all went back to normal after I had my son. Thank heavens, I can't imagine not eating shrimp.
Originally posted by MAGICinMYHEART Love them everyway you could think to cook them, Boiled, broiled, fried, shrimp scampi, coconut shrimp, jambalaya, does the Movie Forrest Gump mean anything to you?
Steamed fresh out of the ocean.
After a long, sandy day at the beach....shower and
head in for some fresh steamed shrimp and hush puppies.
I can just smell 'em now!
There is one thing I don't enjoy and that's shelling them.
We do tend to buy them pre-shelled now.
I had some tiger prawns for dinner in a restaurant once and I found it a bit too messy, it did look pretty on the plate though, but I don't like the spindly legs!
I like the concept of shrimp, and often think I'll like them, but whenever I eat them, they are just...ick. They taste to me the way Clorox bleach smells.
YUM YUM YUM!!! I am from Louisiana. We like 'em fried and piled onto a DRESSED po-boy! Or boiled; haven't had them boiled in a while! I do love the stuffed shrimp, too. I don't cook AT ALL, so every now & then I'll keep frozen cooked shrimp in my freezer to quickly dethaw and snack on w/cocktail sauce. Yum. I had some shrimp to DIE for at Spoodles recently; not sure how they were cooked; broiled???
