has to one up you? No matter what you say or do, they have to do one better? Or even worse they have to be more involved in it, or take it over completely? The kind of person that everything has to be all about them or their part in it, or their thoughts? THis is driving me nuts....and I am about to explode. This friend just does not see it and it is driving me crazy....OK, I am done ranting and raving now and will sit down and be quiet. I guess it just kills me during the Holiday Season, cause I just expect everyone to just be Happy.

Oh well...

So, has everyone been a good girl or boy?

I know exactly who your talking about;)

Guess we all know someone like that.
I just ignore it and smile:D

I know what this is about! :)

You put lights on your house for Christmas and Clark Griswold moved in next door!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA :) ;)

OMG!!! You are totally explaining one of the women I work with. No matter what you're talking about, hers was worse, or better, or bigger, or whatever!!!!! Whenever she talks about her kids (which is ALOT!) they are always the best at whatever the topic is. And when you try to have an actual conversation, she'll cut you off in midsentence by talking louder (Yelling, actually) and above you and say "but you have no idea". ARGH!!!! I hate it.

But, yes, I have been a good girl and am trying to be especially nice today since it is our last day of work until January 2nd!!! Yeah!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Lynn you do?

This person has been like this for years, and has no clue they come across this way. Just that sometimes it drives me crazy. My brother is just like this too, and he has no clue, as he does not see it and everyone just lets him get away with it.

LOL...TVT...that is too funny.
That would be my luck though....lol

She hasn't been sitting near me recently, but just moved back into my "neighborhood" at work.....so now I can hear her!!!

I've been trying to be good......but it's not easy!

Glo, you must be talking about my MIL and SIL!!!!!

Only thing SIL can't "one up me on" is having children!!!! If she had a man in her life, she would have had 4 children, only to "one up me"!!!

My husband's SIL is like that. We always look forward to the annual holiday letter/brag-fest.

Oh you have NO idea!!!

This one woman....

LOL

Yes I knwo the type I hate it!!

I try very hard to not be like that right back at her but it is soooo tempting.

Oh yeah we used to have friends like that, they actually "dropped" us because they couldn't keep up! Like we are all that. But Glo we all love you here.

My husband's sister is like that. She is very materialistic and it doesn't matter what you say, she has to up you. So I just sit and say nothing. And you guys gotta KNOW how hard that is for me. I smile and ask her questions, but don't talk about what we do, she's not interested anyway. Thank goodness she lives 3000 miles away and only visits once a year!

My best friend does this to me ALL THE TIME! Makes me insane...

Yes, I do know someone like that...you wouldn't believe what I have to put up with...I don't know your friend but I guarantee mine is sooo much worse. ;)

I know just what you mean. I knew a couple that was just like that. In fact, when the wife got pregnant guess what she had? TWINS!!!
:p :p

Yes, I do. Several people and it annoys me.

One of SO's cousins in like that. We call him Rambo because he's seen it all, done it all and can take anyone and anything on. Atleast in his mind he can.;)

Yep. My crazy SIL is like this. If one of her siblings does or gets something, she has to do the same or better.

DH had a coworker who moved to the area and his wife wasn't happy with where they were living. When we were moving to a new development, DH brings in the brochures, and, next thing you know, they're moving in down the street.

They picked the same model house as ours. Then they added on all sorts of extras.

While we didn't get too crazy with changes to the basic plan, we didn't care for the kitchen that came with the house. It's a big room, but they had very little cabinetry. We went to the builder's kitchen designer and had a new plan drawn up.

When both of our houses were finished, she saw my kitchen and had her brand new kitchen torn out and had a new one installed. Of course, she also had all of her bathroom cabinets replaced at the same time.

So yes, I think I know someone like that.;) ;) ;)

I know FIVE people like that!!

Hee hee....j/k. :)

I just walk away. I don't have the time or the patience for that.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Or something.
