Do you have Verizon?

My contract with Sprint is about to expire and I am cancelling because their coverage has been terrible. Last year the only communication that we had at WDW was texting. I am debating between Verizon and ATT, currently leaning towards Verizon. Anybody who has Verizon with Iphone 5S who has visited WDW in the last 4 months or so?? If so, was your phone signal ok? How about data for things such as MDE app? Thanks in advance for info, and sorry if I posted in wrong area.

I have Verizon but not an Iphone, I have a Galaxy 4s. I had no trouble connecting to the MDE app with my data plan in February. On Disney's wifi I either couldn't connect at all or it was very very slow and couldn't do anything. I have had Verizon for many years, long before they were even Verizon, and there are very few places that I don't get a good signal. AT&T is better than it used to be so I would go with whichever is better in your home area.

I was at WDW in Feb and have Verizon it worked great except inside the waiting line at Soarin. That was the only place I lost a connection. We have had it for years and I think the connection at Soarin was the only dropped one I have had

Yup, great service as long as you aren't in Soarin

I have been with Verizon for 20 years (before they were Verizon). I always have great service- never experience dropped calls. The last time I was at WDW was Dec 2012, so have not had to use my phone in the parks for MDE/FP etc. We are hoping to upgrade to Iphones this month from our androids this month before we are at WDW in early June.

iPhone 5 + verizon= no issues . We have had verizon for the past 10 or so trips and iPhones for the past 5 or so years and never had an issue with calls or internet (Facebook, MDE, etc).

I agree with the above - you lose your Verizon signal on the line for Soarin'.

However, Disney's wifi signal worked fantastically well down there - I was very happily surprised, since there was quite a wait even on the fastpass line.
