Do you have nicknames for your kids?

Our kids are all grown now but our youngest DS Ernie was Bub since he was a baby and we still call him Bub. Even his nieces and nephews call him Uncle Bub and thats just fine with him.

When our DD was little, I called her Lizzytish and her Dad called her Baby Girl. (he still calls her that)

DH has nicks for the grandkids.....

Kara is Lumplins.
Corey is Mr. Beezel.
Samantha is Grumplins.

:wave2:

My dd name is Chloe. I have been calling her cocoa beans for ever
(she loves chocolate)!LOL!

also Coowie (when she was much smaller)

she's now 10 1/2 and says "mom I am a tween now, not a little kid anymore, it's C H L O E!
I laugh and say yes, cocoa beans! I only say it around the house, only sometimes!
She's the "baby"....... of the two we have!

My 11yo DD Alyssa ~ Ali-bum, Ali-cat or Alsie Palsie She prefers not to be called these names in front of anyone.

My 5yo DD Megan ~ Meggie Beggie, Megs, Punkin head(don't know why) or Mega. She doesn't mind the nicknames at this point.

My almost 20yo DS Paul ~ Paulie Boy, PB and Honey. He prefers no nicknames!

I call my dgrdd's Pooh Bear, Bear and sometimes Pooh although that last one can earn you a few dirty looks if the other person doesn't realize you just haven't said the rest of it. My oldest is starting to get too old for these nicknames but it really is hard to stop. At least being the grandmother I can get away with the nicknames longer than their mother.

My name from my niece is The Beautiful (she wanted a birthday present

My daughter Miranda has always been known as The Queen

My Nicholas son is called Monkey Boy.

My husband is called The Wallet (for obvious reasons)

That same niece could never say my name - Denise so I was always called Dis. My husband pretty much only calls me Dis, I snap to attention when he says Denise.

DS Timm (19) is Timmbob
DD Britt (15) is Princess or The Princess
My "adopted son" (actually just a good friend) Cody (18) Oh's

Britt and Timm don't mind their nicknames, a lot of Timm's friends even call him Timbo. Cody doesn't like it if I call him Oh's when there are other people around.

When my DD was little, she didn't know what her real name was until she was 3 or 4 because I had so many nicknames for her. When someone asked her what her name was and she said "I don't know" I decided it was time to stop the nicknames. She was, Jezebelle, Petunia, LJB, Peanut, Eloise, and the list goes on, but she's 12 now, and I can't remember that long ago.;)

When my oldest was a baby, I used to call him Peanut...he was only 4 lb 2 oz at birth so it really fit. When he quickly grew (he was 24 lbs at 6 months old!! :earseek: ) my Peanut, became Peanut Butter!:teeth:

My oldest daughter Jeana was called Jin Jin for the longest time. Kirk is only 18 months older than she is and that is how he pronounced her name. :p

Jessica was and still is called Jessie. Not because that is the normal nickname for Jessica. I had an ultrasound 4 months before she was born that showed us (quite clearly, I might add!! ) that she was a girl. Not everyone in my family wanted to know the baby's sex. The name Jessie can be either for a boy or a girl. That way, she was called by name, but no one who didn't want to know could tell for sure! :bounce:

I called Josh "Pooh" since the time I found out I was pregnant. He's 8 now and he would die a slow death if I called him that in public (so I don't). He's still Joshie around the house and my family. I also call him my Green Eyed Monster!

We call my nephew, Aaron, Go Braughs (as in Erin Go Braugh). My sister started that when he was a baby. I call him Mr. Aaron because he's now 13 and 6' tall!

I call my other nephew, Dominik, Schnickerdoodle. I started calling him Schnick because of the "nik" on the end of his name. It evolved into Schnickerdoodle. Thank goodness he's still 4--I don't think that name will last much past kindergarten!!!

Well, what a cute thread. Older DS is Precious or Precious Angel (just gross, I know. He's 5, I figure I've got about a few months left with that one) and the younger one is either Dougie Bug or Lunchbox. Lunchbox because this kid can eat.

Ann:earsgirl:

DD almost 6 I call Blerbert because that is the first thing she said and DS Pauly because he looked like Pauly from the Rocky movies when he was first born I also call him Benby I don't know why.

I call my DD Hannah Banana, and my son Caleb "Cay Cay"- my niece insisted we have a nickname for him, and that's what we came up with. Now I call him "turkey burger" which he CANNOT stand LOL.

Both myself & DH have nicknames for DD.

Mine is Chickie
DH's is Peanut.

She likes his better than mine but I still call her it anyway!

I sometimes call her either Clyde or Seymore depending on the day!

Jennifer is Jen, Kiki, or Monkey. Jonathan is JoJo, Jo, Joda, Joey...everything except what he wants to be called-Jon!

I call him, Trav, Travissimo and when I want to embarrass him, Traviepoo ;)

Mostly I call him Travis, though :teeth:
