Do you have an all time favorite book?

I forgot about the Boxcar Children... and Trixie Belden :) She was sooo cool

I could read anything James Mitchner wrote over and over and over. But my all time favorite is The Source.

So many books to choose from!

The Little Prince, Alice In Wonderland, All of Dr. Seuss, Mrs. Nelson books, A Wrinkle in Time (one of my very favorite).

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Great book.

How Stella Got Her Groove Back. Fun. :D

Deep End of the Ocean.

Patricia Cornwell, Nora Roberts, Dean Koontz...

One novel that has always stayed with me is Lonesome Dove by Larry McCurtry. It was so beautifully written! I can still picture it in my mind. I could tune the whole world out when I was reading that book. Now that I'm thinking of it again, maybe I'll pick it up again this summer. Right now, the book club I'm in is reading
East of Eden by Stenbeck. I am really liking this book too.

My favorite classic is To Kill A Mockingbird.
My favorite that I've read lately was Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik
Love everything by Elizabeth Berg, Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta novels, I like all that BBrit Chick Lit:Bridget Jones, Shopaholic series, Jane Green etyc.
Marian Keyes has some good books
Gracelin O'Mally, The Tea Rose, The Other Boleyn Girl

For cheesy romance<g> I love Suzanne Brockman

When I was a kid I adored The Bobbsey Twins, I had tons of them. LOL
Also liked Encyclopedia Brown, all Judy Blume books, all Beverly Cleary books..and I am blanking on the names but there was a series of books about a little girl named Betsy<?> who has a sister named Star.
There was a series of books about twins, a book about Dutch twins, one about Indian twins etc and I liked those alot too.
That All of a Kind Family sounds SO familiar, I must have read it as a child, as well.

Many of my favorites have been mentioned and definitely remind me of certain times in my life:

Edith Wharton books when I was taking a 20th cent. lit course, but ended up growing to love her and her books;

The Thorn Birds--who didn't fall in love with the priest?

From my childhood "To Dance is to Dream" and any Nancy Drew.

Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead--my introspective stage.

However, my all-time favorite book that made me laugh, cry and feel everything in between was "Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt. I have never, ever been so moved by a book.
