Do You Have A Treadmill?

I posted this over on the Wish board and didn't receive any replies.

I'm thinking about picked up a used treadmill on Craigslist. Do you have one? What kind is it? Would you recommend it? Is there anything I should look for? I would be using it for walking without much of an incline. Thanks!

We have a True Treadmill that we've had since 2000. We spent a fair amount on it back then, around $5,000, but we both use it for running. If you just plan to walk, then I think that you can spend far less as deck size and stablility aren't as important. I've tried to run on cheaper treadmills and you can really tell the difference.

a treadmill?.....oh you mean a clothes hanger. No we dont have one. We already have enough clothes hangers, we dont need a $700 one

I have a Pacemaster Silver model. There is a website called Mr. Treadmill or Treadmill Doctor (something like that) that gives ratings/reviews on all treadmill models and has lots of good info.

I paid about $3,000 for my treadmill and it is very nice. I have no complaints.

Quiet is nice. adjustable speeds and incline. see if the warranty is transferable to a second owner. Motors and repairs are expensive. I think we paid $1200. Check out the tread area for cushioning. ours has an adjustment for stiff or soft.

We have a treadmill, though I can't tell what kind it is. My kids have covered it in blankets and are using it as their "secret hideout".

I can't say I love my treadmill......or any treadmilll.....but they certainly have a place! I use my well, just like to run outside better. When the weather is bad, it comes in handy.

I do not use my as a clothes hanger......I have a weight set for that!!! I really try to keep the area clear from my treadmill, so nothing can hamper me when I am actually going to use it. (I used it last night!)

Just make sure you are ready for the committment....so you don't waste the money. I have a Proform which wasn't expensive and it has held up to my running.
