Do you get free Magic Band only with the package deal?

Hi,

I was just wondering if you get the Magic Band only if you book with Disney under package deal? We booked package this past April and got free Magic Band, CS, room at Pop, etc.

If we just reserve room only, do we still get free Magic Band? Got Orange band last time and would love to get purple band this time if it's free with resort room (POP).

Any time you stay at a Disney World Resort you will have the option of getting a solid colored MagicBand, no matter the reservation.

You get one with any on-site resort reservation. It can be linked in MDE to tickets purchased through or outside of Disney.

Any stay at a WDW resort gets the magic bands. We rented DVC points for our upcoming trip and have already set up our Magic Bands.

(Bought our tickets from ParkSavers - 7 day PH for the price of a 4 day! Linked them to our account for use with Magic Bands.)

Everyone who stays at a Disney resort gets a Magic Band, even if they booked room-only & never buy a park ticket. Everyone.

Yellow, red, green, pink, orange (I think), and purple.


You get them any time you stay at a Disney resort. Even if you book through a third party. I always use Orbitz to book my hotel and you still get a "free" magic band.

There's also blue and grey.

Unless you live outside the US and then they are handed to you in a nice box at the front desk.

You only get luggage tags with the packages, but the bands come with any onsite reservation-no matter how you make that reservation, through Disney directly or even CheapTickets/Orbitz/Travelocity/your own TA/etc.

the magic band serves as your room key so yes a room only reservation gets you a complimentary magic band.

Connect your reservation to your MyDisneyExperience account and go to the MagicBands section. There you can customize your bands by color and with 9 digits in teensy lettering on the inside of the band. If you're in the US they'll be shipped to you a couple/few weeks before your trip, and if you're from elsewhere you'll get them at the front desk.
