Do you ever get nervous about going on waitlist that they will do it correctly?

Right now we have reservations for Dec. 21-26 at VWL. For Dec. 21, we have a 1BR and a studio and for the 22-26 we move into a 2BR. Well we would all rather be in a Savannah 2BR at AKV for the entire time. So I had the big idea of calling MS (which I did a little while ago) and seeing what was available, knowing the chances of getting anything were nil. The CM though suggested we go on the waiting list. I told her I wanted it all or nothing. Either we get the entire time and cancel the three existing ressies or don't do it. I sure hope she got it right. It seemed like she was going thru this mighty fast. And she didn't even ask me where I wanted the extra 5 points that would be needed to come from. I did tell her. All of a sudden I'm very nervous though we're going to end up moving from resort to resort as individual days come open and then it will be too late to fix. Do I have anything to be concerned about?

Yep, we need a 2 bed AND a studio at OKW 12/28 to 1/3. I am praying that they understood the "and" and didn't take it as an "or". I didn't even bother with waitlisting for other resorts because I thought that would just be way to confusing.

All the time. I have gotten a few waitlists come up but others not. So for the others, I often think that maybe it was entered into the system incorrectly or that others are put in front of me in line for some reason or other. The reason for this is that I have no access to the system so I don't know if others who were waitlisted after me is getting the waitlist because the cm helping them is more creative than the one I spoke to. Or maybe it's just the paranoid/non-trusting part of me.

Call back (try to choose a day of the week & time when it wouldn't be busy if you can) and ask the CM to tell you how your waitlist is set up. Just say that the CM who did it for you seemed new and you just aren't sure if it was done correctly. Good luck!

I called recently just to check on my waitlist and basically to make sure it was set up correctly...which it was. It gave me peace of mind and I'm like the OP, I want all or nothing...just can't risk having to move around with a 6 year old and 1 year old.

OP back - I think I'm going to just call MS this morning and make sure that the waitlist request got setup okay. Just for the peace of mind. Frankly, it's fine with me whether we stay at VWL or AKV but DS has never stayed at AKV and DD likes it alot; so I figure why not put in the request. The only problem is it does make planning for ADR's a little more difficult. I had planned on us eating at the resort restaurant on Christmas Eve and was going to get an ADR for Whispering Canyon but if we are staying at AKV I'd need one for Boma instead. And the thing is I need to make those ressies in about two weeks. I'm not sure what I will do.

Are you kidding! I get nervous everytime I hang up with MS. My account has been messed up only 3 times this year. Everytime I call MS to make any transaction it required followup to fix the change. I am starting to wonder if I want to keep my contracts at this point because it's becoming more work than pleasure lately.

No. I don't use waitlist because I see too many examples of them screwing it up!
