Oh yes! I have to have something to do.
I volunteer regularly at a local arena selling concessions to raise money for cancer research and other charities. I host, design and maintain web sites for non-profits. I serve on a Province Board for a national philanthropic organization and I chair one of the national committees. I volunteer at the USO, sort donations at a facility for foster care, collect and deliver pounds of pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House, staff fundraisers to raise money for hemophilia research, serve as a buddy with an adaptive baseball league for players with disabilities, make and donate fleece blankets for Project Linus and another group that helps parents with perinatal loss support, volunteer at the veteran's hospital in Orlando and annually participate in Operation Christmas Child. A dear friend is about to travel to the Love-A-Child orphanage in Haiti to serve in their medical clinic and we're organizing donations of toys and other items for her to take as gifts for the children.
I enjoy what I do, even if it's not 'work' to some people but I know it matters to someone somewhere. I try to make the most out of being a stuck-at-home-wife.
