I recently started volunteering at the local zoo. I have helped to pass out candy and run game booths during their Halloween celebration, take Santa pictures during their x-mas celebration.

I work a couple of hours/week at my kids' school library.

I work with children that have been affected by the radioactive fallout from the Chernobyl Nuclear disaster. We host over 85 children for 6 weeks every summer to get them out of the contaminated environment, get them medical and dental help and get them full of nutritious, non-contaminated food.

I just got through my first orientation session with the local Children's Hospital.

My top three floors to volunteer on are the NICU, Hematology/Oncology, and Neurology. I'm really hoping for NICU, but will be happy anywhere!

Zoo volunteer - I do their website, am their photographer, help with events and walk around grounds and talk to people about the animals.

I've helped out with our downtown business association, too. Manned a soda station during Strawberry Festival, was a judge of the Christmas parade.

Yep, I’m still in High school so I’m vice president of this club called FCCLA. We run, organize and present community service projects and stuff like that.
This year we had 3rd graders make veterans day cards and we hand delivered them to are local veterans home. We also had are school donate dog and cat food for the Human Society. We also do stuff to help out the Women’s and Children’s Alliance Center. I realy like it but it does take a lot of work.

We've adopted a portion of a long trail in the Adirondacks and try our best to keep the trail in good shape. We also participate in a number of other trail related projects during the summer months. We volunteer at the local ski area, providing assistance to children learning to ski (before & after regular lessons). And some other stuff too.

I work at our church's thrift shop a couple times a month. It's fun! We run the store and add up the cost of goods in our heads or on paper. We have no cash register and it's not a problem.

I volunteer with the dogs at an animal shelter. I love it but just moved back to the city where the shelter is so I haven't been for awhile.

I'm a special events volunteer with the Jimmy Fund (one of the preeminent cancer hospitals in the country here in Boston). I run phone banks during their radio telethon, and help out at the Scooper Bowl (all you can eat ice cream event) and Fantasy Day at Fenway (fans can pay to go onto the field at Fenway Park and hit, field, run the bases, etc).

I also am the Registrar for our Town's soccer club. DS lives for soccer, and since I'm too much of a klutz to actually coach, I volunteered to help administrate.

I am a 4-H leader, also on our 4-H Association. I chair a committee for the Association, plus I am on a few other committees.
My husband and I are on our PreCana team at Church.
Both my dogs are Pet Therapy dogs and I try to take 1 dog a week to either a Hospital, school or nursing home.
I am looking into becoming a dog walker at the shelter and also fostering animals.
