Do you bring your own beach towels?

We drive so it's easy to toss big fluffy colorful towels in the trunk. As has been said they are easier to spot on your chair and so much higher quality than the skimpy Disney ones.

We pick our most old, used-looking beach towel and bring that with us. I use it to cushion my chair at the pool, as our beach towels are longer than the towels WDW provides and I spend more time relaxing & reading in the lounge chair than swimming at the pool. At the end of the trip, we throw the towel away instead of packing it to bring home. Dh and the kids will use the WDW towels for swimming.

It's nice to have that colorful towel to mark our chair. If I get up and take a quick dip in the pool, then everyone still knows at a glance where our chair is.

Only if we are going to water park which we would plan before leaving home and I doubt it ever happens again to many other nice water parks at home to use disneys.

Yes, but only because I got them at CVS before last year's trip - for $1.25 each.

We also drive and like to have our own beach towels for the water parks. DD likes her wrappy towel (the kind with a velcro closure) for after her shower in the morning so we bring that too.

Sometimes - but not costly ones. We've had towels taken on occasion - DS bought one of those big Epcot towels once and it disappeared. I like to take my own because they are a good size. I sometimes buy them on sale; then I do not feel so bad if they are taken.

We always use disney towels, unless we plan on going to a waterpark or spending a lot of downtime at the pool. Then it's just easier to bring our own since they're better quality than disney's and easier to spot, as others have mentioned. Then again, we're also dvc members, so doing laundry is convenient for us.

I think it just depends on your situation and your personal preference.

I always have as it is just me and DH. I like my soft and LARGE beach towels. I don't mind the room it takes in my suitcase. For the two towels it really doesn't take up too much room. Hopefully we'll be having children at some point and then I am sure that I won't pack one for everyone but most likely still take 2 for the adults.

Yes b/c its easier and you know where its been, besides the Disney ones are genuinely small.

I always bring my own no matter the vacation destination. Home towels are larger and much softer IMO.
