One of the girls in my sorority (alum now) is having her bachelorette party next Saturday. Should I bring a present to this? If so, any ideas? Is this when I hit Victoria's Secret or would B&BW be okay too? I have already been to her shower last month (with a good gift, if I do say so ;) ) and her wedding is July 9th where she will be presented with another lovely gift picked out by yours truly. Thanks for your help!

I don't think you have to take a gift, maybe a joke gift. :teeth:

Something naughty. Seriously. Something from VS (unless really naughty) would be too expensive and/or too "nice" for a bachelorette party.

Well I thought V.S because they are having their semi-annual sale right now. I could pick up a lacy slip or a sexy cami/pany set for around $20. So I should go "naughtier"?

For that type of party I would! Something really "FUNNY" But it also depends on the person you're buying it for!

No, you do not bring a gift to a bachelorette party. You bring one to each shower you are invited to and attend and to the wedding (whether or not you attend).

As far as the bachelorette party goes, you help cover the brides expenseses (drinks, cover charges, etc) as the party requires--and equally with everyone else that attends. It's also nice if you bring, although check with the party planner--it's truly her responsibility, a hat with a vail and/or a bride-to-be button/ribbon/t-shirt. It can also be funny (again depending on the party) to safety pin condoms to her shirt.

We always get the bride to be a couple of really nice pieces of lingerie. Then we head for "The Locked Door", an upscale adult gift and novelty store. Boy, do we have fun picking things out!!! :earseek: Some of it we are not quite sure how you use it, and boy do we laugh!!!!!

Another tradition is the "suck for a buck shirt". Basically it is a white t-shirt with suck for a buck written on it, and Lifesavers sown all over it. The bride to be wears it (only if she is willing), and guys pay $1 to get a Lifesaver off. I wore it for my party, and thank the good Lord, the guys played nice. Nothing raunchy!!!!

The last bachelorette party I attended (way back in the dark ages ;) I took my camera and took lots of photos. I presented the bride to be with a small album as a remembrance of the night.

We don't do gifts at the bachelorette party, just the personal shower (and that is when lingerie and other naughty things are given).

For bachelorette party, we just go out.

I'd call a friend and ask - been to tons and none have done gifts. Course, when in doubt, it's always best to bring something anyways =)
