How many of you out there go so much, you end up booking regular ressies because you've used up all of your points? I guess we need to add more points because we regularly use up our allowance (normally borrowing from the next use year).

We don't have any points available until December, and we're going in October, paying cash at ASMo.

I have used all but 4 of my 2002 points for a trip this year. I don't get more points until October 2003.

We just bought and our deed has not been recorded so for this trip we had to pay cash because we wanted to stay at the Poly.

You can' t stay at non-dvc resorts until your deed is recorded.

Hey, if I use up all my points and still want to go I start looking at an add-on. Cash???? What's that???? We have paid cash a couple times, but we would rather spend money towards points.

If we can book a room for what we would have paid for dues on the points we pay cash and obviously get substandard rooms, but if not we don't go or add on.

Last December I added a Friday night at BWI because we couldn't get FF tickets for Saturday. It would have been 41 points to add a Friday night in a BWV standard 1 bedroom, which probably would have been impossible anyway in early December. Anyway, I got an AP rate of $187 including tax at BWI, so that comes out to about $4.58 a point. It was a lovely room and all we had to do in the morning was call the bellman for our luggage and go to the front desk to check-in for BWV.

For this May, I only have 9 points left after booking Sun-Fri at OKW 1 bedroom. I want to go Fri-Fri, but could not see borrowing 87 points for the 2 weekend nights (96-9 left). Right now I have a member discount for the 2 nights in the same rooom, but I'm hoping an AP rate will come out. Right now I figure it's $6.71 a point but we will have the convenience of not having to move. If a 40% off AP rate comes out, it will only be $5.36 a point. That's not too far off from what I would pay in maintenance for extra points.
