Do you and your family.....

Casual, jeans but not sweatpants. We go to a relative's cabin where the kids sled if there's snow or skeet shoot. Last year the owner shot his deer right before we came and it was hanging from the back porch. We (not me, I was grossed out) ate venison for dinner. Hard to dress up when a dead deer is staring at you!

No sweats, tshirts, jeans or sneakers. More of a business casual. Some still get dressed up (jacket and tie, hose and heels) but for the most part it's what you would wear to church or a good restaurant.

We all used to get dressed up but that seemed to fall by the wayside as we got older.

We do bring play clothes for the kids to change into later.

Then my SIL, the trashy one, she is always good for a gander at Thanksgiving. More than likely she will appear in something that shows off her new boob job and her new belly ring. The girl knows no boundries when it comes to bad taste, so its Thanksgiving at the local brothel whenever she is around for the big day. :)

Some families have allllllllllllllllllllll of the fun. My 2 SILs are very proper. Perhaps we could work out a SWAP!!!!:jester: :jester: :jester: ...........

dresy casual I guess. Nice clothes but not dresses or anything like that.

Dinner at the Inlaws? FORMAL!!
Girls in velvet dresses, the whole nine.

Definitely casual....my MIL really doesn't care what we wear, as long as the family is together. So we have an enjoyable day and are comfortable, especially after eating tooooo much! LOL!

When my grandparents were alive we always dressed up.

For the last 5 years, one of my cousins has hosted Thanksgiving at her horse farm. We eat outside and the kids usually go swimming, so it's definitely casual.

Swimming on Thanksgiving??!! That sounds so strange to me! LOL
We are casual. Always casual. :)

We usually dress relatively casually. :)

We kick it up one notch, but that's hardly out of the casual area. More like Chino's instead of jeans.

Well I always make sure our jeans are clean! I never gave much thought to how I dress to eat with my family.

We wear casual. We go to a football game in the moring and we ususally freeze. DH works on turkeyday so he gets home there is no way he is keeping his suit on. His family will be there this year. They could care less what we wear. When they have tday dinner they use paper plates. I at least use the china and a linen table cloth and the good silver. Who cares if people are wearing jeans.

LOL!!!

My DH told me that he plans to wear an old t-shirt with grease stains!!!:p My SIL will definitely like that!!!:bounce: :bounce:

My parents always take us out for dinner on turkey day, and we dress casual. Being with family should be more important than who wears what, IMHO. :)

Always casual and definitely no black because at our house everyone ends up with a cat in the lap at one point or another! LOL!
